Audi A6 Allroad 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Unlike its fiery sibling, the RS6 Avant, the Audi A6 Allroad takes a different, unpaved path. While the high-performance RS6 can conquer a race track with today’s best sports cars, the Allroad trades on-road agility for off-road capability, as it comes standard with adjustable air suspension with extra ground clearance.
Audi A6 Avant
Inside its spacious cabin, you’ll find a host of luxury and technology features that make the Allroad a coveted premium wagon, ready to steal the spotlight from rivals like the Volvo XC100 EVs and Mercedes-Benz ML-Class wagon. If the wagon’s rugged design and practical function are intriguing, but the A6 Allroad doesn’t fit the budget, consider the smaller and cheaper A4 Allroad.
What’s new ?
The A6 Allroad now comes standard with an upgraded tire pressure monitoring system . Otherwise, it carries over unchanged to .
We’d stick with the base Premium Plus model, as it comes with a plethora of luxury items – in-dash navigation, Audi’s cool Virtual Cockpit digital display, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, Bang & Olufsen stereo, 360-degree exterior camera system and 20-inch wheels – that will satisfy all but the over-the-top among us. The Prestige model has more standard driver assistance features, but we can live without them.
Engine, transmission and performance
The Audi A6 Allroad is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission and Audi Quattro all-wheel drive are standard. On our test track, the A6 Allroad proved to be a bit slower than the A6 sedan with the same powertrain. Still, it managed a brisk 5.2-second zero-to-60 mph time. The A6 Allroad rides on an adjustable air suspension that provides a comfortable ride and even more control when driving off-road, thanks to a mode that raises the car an additional 1.2 inches.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The EPA estimates that the A6 Allroad will return 20 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg combined. The Audi’s main rival – theV90 Cross Country – carries slightly higher highway and combined ratings, but the EPA rates it at the same 20 mpg in the city. Over our 200-mile highway fuel economy test route, the A6 Allroad delivered an excellent result of 34 mpg, while the V90 Cross Country returned just 29 mpg. For more information on the A6 Allroad’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.
Interior, comfort and cargo
The A6 Allroad’s interior is comparable to the standard A6 sedan, which is to say it’s sleek, modern and well-crafted from quality materials. Most of the car’s secondary controls, including climate control and drive modes, are adjusted via a touchscreen in the center console. This dual-screen setup works well and provides haptic feedback, but some drivers might find it distracting. The A6 Allroad offers more cargo space than the A6 sedan, which fit six of our carry-on suitcases in the trunk. The E-Class wagon and V90 Cross Country fit 11 and eight carry-on suitcases, respectively, in their cargo areas with their rear seats; the Allroad fit nine suitcases behind its rear bench and held a total of 20 with the seats stowed.
Infotainment and connectivity
In addition to the digital screen for controlling the cabin climate, the A6 Allroad has a second display sprouting from the dashboard. This is equipped with Audi’s infotainment software that can be customized to the driver’s needs. An 8.8-inch screen with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and built-in Wi-Fi is standard. Audi’s virtual cockpit and a larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen are options. Audi offers a 10-speaker audio system, but buyers can upgrade to a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system if they wish.
Safety and driver assistance functions
Audi offers a number of driver assistance features as standard, including automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. For more information on the A6 Allroad’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:
- Automated emergency braking as standard
- Standard lane departure warning
- Available adaptive cruise control
Warranty and maintenance coverage
Audi offers average coverage for the class, but its plan lacks the long free scheduled maintenance that comes with the V90 Cross Country.
