The Audi e-tron Quattro is an all-electric SUV produced by German automaker Audi AG. After years of testing concept vehicles and prototypes, Audi has finally released the production version of the e-tron electric SUV.

Reservations were accepted in Europe in September 2018. Audi’s first all-electric vehicle offers long-distance capability, space for five people and sufficient cargo space and towing capacity.
BATTERY AND CHARGING
A large 95 kWh battery provides long-distance travel on a single charge. The e-tron® is designed for AC and DC charging via the widely used SAE Combined Charging System (CCS) and can use high-speed public charging stations with 150 kW DC, which deliver a charge of approximately 80% in about 30 minutes. At home, a 9.6 kW AC charger (Level 2, 240 volts/40 amps) delivers a full charge overnight.
The Audi e-tron® will use a special cooling system that helps keep the battery operating at an optimal temperature and ensures repeatable performance.
REGENERATION
The Audi e-tron features a unique regeneration system. Regeneration helps the e-tron recover energy from 90% of braking applications and is said to account for up to 30% of the vehicle’s range. The e-tron features variable regeneration modes via the steering wheel paddles, allowing the driver to optimize their range depending on where they are driving and the vehicle’s efficiency.
PERFORMANCE
A low center of gravity and almost instantaneous torque from two electric motors on each axle for efficient power distribution ensure unprecedented propulsion.
The Audi e-tron battery has been carefully designed to accommodate the heat generated by rapid speed increases and repeated use to ensure excellent drivability and consistent performance.
