The Audi Q2 will be the German automaker’s smallest crossover. The subcompact CUV will be getting its first facelift since its arrival, and the company is considering a European launch.

Still, the subcompact model cannot be so bold and aggressive. It is a city cruiser, best suited for novices and city drivers where the splits are tight and you need to spend as little fuel as possible. Audi keeps the luxury offering at the highest level, so the base versions of the Q2 will be equipped with some advanced technologies.
Restyling
So it’s time for the Q2 redesign. However, we still need a lot more information to find out what crossover will look like. The only clue is a look at new arrivals in recent seasons. A 1.6-liter is a base unit, while a 2.0-liter offers two power levels for maximum performance. The first can produce 115 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque thanks to the turbocharging system. The larger displacement increases power to 150 hp and 250 lb-ft, while the 0-62 mph sprint time is reduced to 8.5 seconds. Manual and automatic transmissions are optional on both models. The third setup includes a 2.0 TDI engine with 190 hp and 295 lb-ft. The 7-speed DSG transmission sends them to the all-wheel-drive Quattro drive. Such a configured crossover needs 7 seconds for 0-62 mph acceleration.
The gasoline lineup also includes three different tunes. The entry-level version is a 1.0-liter inline-six with 115 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. This is the most efficient engine you’ll find for the subcompact crossover. A 1.4 TFSI raises the bar to 150 hp and 185 lb-ft, while lowering the 0-62 mph time to 8.5 seconds. The fastest unit in the lineup is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that uses gasoline. It stops the clock under 7 seconds for the 0-100. Output is 190 hp and 235 lb-ft of twist. The company could add a hybrid unit in the future, but that’s not the case for the Audi Q2.
Audi Q2 prices
As the smallest crossover in the range, the Audi Q2 will be the cheapest. Depending on the country, pricing starts at 35,000 euros . Converted to € (Euro), that’s less than 40,000 € (Euro), which is quite high for the subcompact model. In Germany, the SUV costs 45,000 euros .
