Audi Q5 Hybrid 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Audi Q5, the German automaker’s best-selling model worldwide, will be facelifted in and enter its third generation. An Audi Q5 Hybrid will likely be among the available variants when it launches in . Here’s everything we know so far about the next-generation Q5.
SUV Audi Q5 Hybrid
Any next-generation Audi that launches will represent the last ICE highlight of the respective model. The Four Rings has said it will end production of combustion engine cars in 2033, with a possible extension in China dependent on local demand. The third-generation Q5 will be the last model to be equipped with TFSI and TDI engines. It is expected to launch sometime in , and in the meantime it has been speculatively rendered.
Design and features
The third generation of the Audi Q5 will bring significantly more significant design changes than the second generation model. This is suggested by spy images (see Auto Express) showing the first test cars with the production body and many of the styling elements. The proportions would be quite similar, but the front and rear could be more distinctive on the next generation.
A shorter octagonal single frame, slimmer and more technical-looking headlights, a higher lower air intake and side air intakes give the Audi Q5 a new and confident character at the front. At the rear, the new Q5 is likely to have a more striking appearance with significantly slimmer taillights and a narrow light strip running between them across the entire width, which emphasizes the width of the SUV just as much as the redesigned radiator grille.
Inside, Audi designers will further reduce the number of physical controls and push digitalization. Expect a new 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with many new/improved connectivity features.
Plug-in hybrid
Audi will likely offer a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a plug-in hybrid system, which should also be available in Europe. The current model offers a range of just 62 km/39 miles on the WLTP cycle, and even less, just 23 miles under the EPA test method. For the next-generation Q5 PHEV, Audi may aim for a WLTP range of 100 km/62 miles and an EPA range of around 35 miles.
The engines of the next-generation Audi Q5, including the mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, will be more efficient and environmentally friendly. The company will want to ensure that they are future-proof and can meet Euro 7 emissions standards.

The Audi Q5 could arrive at dealerships in the UK and Europe in the first half of . Audi’s European and overseas plants specialize in the production of the Q5 and are expected to produce the third generation of the SUV and subsequent variants. Prices are expected to start at around $45,000.
