Audi R8 V10 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
All eyes are not pointing to the latest Audi R8 V10 that will be updated. There is some outstanding news about this car as we have both the improved base version and a special edition sports model in the works. The current model is stagnating in the competitor, so it was time to get an upgrade. The R8 model made its debut in 2007 and was a new version of the segment back then.
Audi R8 V10
It gave drivers another option and in fact it gave us a cheaper version of the Lamborghini and Ferrari supercars of the time. But after years of the same formula, it’s time for an update. Even using the V10 engine doesn’t help here, as drivers are looking for something that can be modified more in depth.
However, the redesign part of this model should be taken lightly here as the vehicle retains most of the looks and design cues from the previous model. It looks pretty much the same and has inherited most of the parts of the car. This is something that Audi does often as it is mostly known for making similar cars and making minor updates to newer vehicles. But if we look inside the car, we will see more changes. This time, they have focused on developing the interior and have done a lot of work there, making the car almost indistinguishable from the last version.
Another interesting piece of news is the Special Edition Sport Audi R8. The road car might struggle to fit into the new market as the competition will be pretty tough. But the racing model has done a great job as it has won many races and titles over the years. Audi is also planning to celebrate its success with the latest Sport version which will be made as a limited edition model. In fact, only 200 units of this edition will be made, so if you want one, you better get on board quickly. The idea behind this car is that it is a tribute to the R8 LMS model. The interior will be similar to the latest second generation model, but the exterior will be unique as it will feature the silver, red and black color scheme that will show off the racing background. But under the hood of the car, things will not change as they will merely carry over everything from the current racing car. It may be disappointing to hear this, but the outgoing model is already powerful enough so there weren’t many options for them to move on from there.

When is the Audi R8 V10 expected to be released?
The Audi R8 V10 release date has already been announced. After seeing the car in full for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show, we were also given a mid- release date. The vehicle is already in high demand, but it’s still not clear how well it will perform in the niche it competes in. Many other vehicles have already taken the front row here, so the comeback that the Audi R8 plans to make with its night is going to be long and hard. The Special Edition Sport model will launch in after the initial release of the base model.
What is the price we can expect?
The pricing of the Audi R8 V10 has already been announced. It will be offered at the same price for the version that comes with an automatic transmission, so you can get it for a base RRP of €162,900 (Euros). But we also have the V10 Plus version, which is much more expensive than the first one, and is offered for €189,900 (Euros). The Plus version will be much more expensive compared to the previous Plus version, as it will receive an upgrade of €7,000 (Euros) to the final price.
No very extensive updating for the outside world
Although they said that the Audi R8 V10 is an improved version, it doesn’t seem like that. Audi probably doesn’t want to mess up the style of the vehicle that much and keep the R8 recognizable. This could be a mistake as there are people who expected more changes and don’t see the small redesign as appropriate for the brand. This could be both good and bad for the brand, but we’ll see which of the two we end up getting.
The front end added a new type of grille that appears bolder and has a different type of mesh. The bumper is smaller and comes with vertical slats. The headlights are also changed and have straight edges instead of the curvy ones we had before. The Euro versions of the R8 will get laser high beam headlights with a camera that will help with proper high beam distribution. This feature has not been approved for the Europe yet.
The rear of the car has new taillights that have been slightly redesigned. They add a different type of graphics and there is a new type of grille at the back. The tailpipes have a trapezoidal shape and the gap between the pipes is now larger. As for the Plus trim, it adds a carbon fiber reinforced wing that helps at higher speeds and also differentiates the two from each other.
Interior modifications and upgrades
The interior of the Audi R8 V10 is more noticeable than the exterior. We see how this car has grown on the inside and it shows some pretty good and modern modifications. The first thing you notice is the racing-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel that offers more controls than before and the racy bucket seats that offer more sport for your back. The seats will actually be an optional offering on the base version, but starting from the V10 Plus models.
Audi also offers the Virtual Cockpit, which you can operate with a 12.3-inch screen. The screen also appears in place of the MMI screen and instrument gauges, and you can reconfigure the display to your liking. The dashboard and center stack have also been redesigned, and you’ll see even from there that the six-speed manual transmission has been completely replaced, with the only option being the S Tronic gearbox.
To make the interior of the Audi R8 V10 as exclusive as possible, there are several optional covering options that buyers can opt for when purchasing the car. These include a Nappa leather combination of Alcantara and pearl or fine Nappa leather. You can also go for clear coated carbon fiber trim or diamond stitching, which are also offered as an option.
In general, the cabin is the biggest difference between the outgoing and the version. It actually feels like a new generation model and offers us a lot that we can use and a lot that we will certainly need when operating this car.
Some interesting changes for the powertrain of the Audi R8 V10
The most important part of any car is of course the powertrain, and the Audi R8 V10 will have an important decision when it comes to the powertrain for the version. The thing is that we only have the V10 option now, as the 4.2-liter V-8 engine for this car is ruled out from further use. They also modified and improved the engine a bit so that we have more power for both versions of the car. The R8 V10 will make 540 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, while the Plus V10 is expected to make 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Another change is the fact that the 6-speed manual transmission that has been used for a few years is ruled out this time, leaving only the S Tronic dual-clutch transmission available.
0-62 mph per hour and top speed performance
When we talk about the specs and performance of the Audi R8 V10, we immediately think of speed. Thanks to the changes made to the car’s powertrain, we will see some updates and some changes to the specs. First of all, the 0-62 mph performance is now 3.5 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the last version, and it also has a top speed of 201 mph, which is 6 mph faster than the last model. The Plus trim can reach 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, 0.8 seconds faster, and a top speed of 205 mph, or 8 mph faster than before.
Fuel consumption for the Audi R8 V10
The Audi R8 V10’s fuel economy will improve slightly. The car is lighter and faster and they have managed to make some improvements in terms of fuel economy. Will the competitor for the Audi R8 V10 be any good?
This is actually the biggest question related to the Audi R8 V10 vehicle. Competitors have grown recently and released their own vehicles that have overtaken the R8 in recent years. The R8 had a very turbulent start and was an interesting addition to the lack of cluster market. But as the years went by, the Audi R8 declined and the competition got better.
