Audi S3 2025: Powerful and Compact Sports Car

If you are looking for a powerful, compact car than the Audi S3, this is your answer. The only smaller model in the Audi range is the RS3 version, but it can easily offer a relaxed experience of an A3 brand. Since the RS3 is not available in the Europe, buyers from the North American market will have to settle for an S3 model as the smallest Audi product offered there.

Audi has just released images of its facelifted Audi S3 version. Although this model will be available for Europe very soon, people in America will have to wait a little longer to get it. However, our review of the Euro version will mostly coincide with the Europe ones when the release date comes.

The images show a slightly revised S3 car with some updates to its exterior, but nothing major. The innovations continue with some tech additions to the interior, with the crown jewel being the Audi virtual cockpit. What’s on offer under the hood, however, brings even more happy news, as they’ve managed to squeeze more power out of the car.

When will the release date be announced?

As of the Audi S3 release date, the model will be offered for the German market as early as this year. The car is scheduled to be released in the middle of the year and will also be offered for the respective European markets. When it comes to the European ones, we can expect the release date to come next year, which separates us from a North American release at least a year.

What is the price of the Audi S3?

The prices for the Audi S3 have already been officially announced. The Premium Plus trim starts at €42,900 (Euro) as the base RRP price, which represents an increase of €400 (Euro) compared to the previous model. The Prestige version is more expensive at €48,400 (Euro).

What are the external changes to the Audi S3?

Audi is always cautious when redesigning its cars, and the Audi S3 will follow the same approach. The model closely resembles the current version and you wouldn’t notice the difference until you take a long, close, and detailed look at it. The headlights are similar but now get jagged lower edges. These changes also result in a flatter contour and sharper corners. The Xenon lighting elements are standard, while the LEDs and Matrix LEDs are offered as an option. The Singleframe grille also gets sharper edges for its front.

Further modifications have been made to the rear. The improvements added here make it look a little wider and the additions include a new taillight shape with new graphics and a modified lower diffuser. The exterior also offers the choice of six newly offered colors: Ara Blue, Cosmic Blue, Nano Gray, Tango Red, Vegas Yellow and, exclusive to the S line, Daytona Gray Pearl.

Interior design and photos

The interior of the Audi S3 is pretty much the same in terms of design. Seating is limited to five passengers, with the front seats being padded for extra comfort. The upholstery is diamond-patterned quilted leather, and brushed metal is used for the trim. There is a three-spoke flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel that is very easy to use. However, the biggest innovation has to be the virtual cockpit, which is added to a small car for the first time. It is a 12.3-inch TFT screen that replaces the conventional displays used previously, and there are also several display modes.

The infotainment system also gets a new menu, similar to that of a smartphone. Most of the controls are operated with a rotary/push button in the central tunnel, but you can also use a touchpad to enter characters and gestures. There is also plenty of navigation equipment and connectivity for the car, which completes our modern offering for this model.

What drive options does the car have?

Although the changes for the Audi S3 are minor, the manufacturers have managed to increase the performance of the new model somewhat. The car still uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter transverse four-cylinder engine and adds 10 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque for a total output of 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Within Europe, the S3 models will come with a seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission, but the American versions come with a six-speed manual transmission and an additional third pedal.

0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed

With the updates made to the Audi S3’s engine, the model will also change its acceleration rates. The statistics are still not official, but there was an announcement that estimates it at 4.7 seconds necessary to reach 0-62 mph per hour. The top speed will be limited to 155 mph.

Expectations regarding fuel consumption

Fuel economy and Audi S3 stats are not official yet. The model has updated the engine, so we think consumption will take a toll as well. The current version measures an EPA rating of 21 mpg city, 28 highway, 24 combined, which may change for the latest S3.

Dimensions

The size and dimensions of the Audi S3 will not change. We are looking at a car that contains the same numbers in its size, so the car is 13.91 feet long and has a wheelbase of 8.53 feet.

What are the security features?

The smaller Audi S3 will carry over some of the safety equipment from the full-size category car. New driver assistance technology includes advance warning ahead, active lane assist, pedestrian monitor and cross traffic warning. Optional features include adaptive cruise control and Stop & Go with traffic jam assist. Emergency braking will be added to the optional list and matrix LED headlights will receive automatic high/low beam support.

What are the competing cars?

The Audi S3 is the smallest Audi product on the American market, but there are other small cars to consider here too. Models like the Mercedes-Benz AMG CLA45 and the BMW M235I Coupe are the perfect examples of competitors for the S3.
