The cabin design of the new Audi SQ5 is modern and elegant. As you may know, the Audi manufacturer is one of the best in this department. Like the regular Q5 model, the next-generation SQ5 is a 2-row, 5-passenger crossover SUV that offers excellent comfort inside. However, the SQ5 is sportier and houses leather, chrome, and wood throughout the cabin.
The list of standard features is long and this model comes with a 12.3-inch instrument display, virtual cockpit, three-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The only downside is the lack of more cargo space. Even the smaller models like the BMW X3 M and Acura RDX offer better numbers, but this can be a double-folding of the rear seats and opening up nearly 60 cubic feet.

Audi SQ5 Under the hood
The facelifted Audi SQ5 will be launched sometime this year and will come with three engines. The regular model will use a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 powertrain connected to a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. Thanks to this powertrain, the new Q5 will produce 248 horses and 273 lb-ft of torque.
The next powertrain was recently added to the Q5 family. This version will use a plug-in engine consisting of a 2.0-liter inline-4/turbocharged permanent magnet electric motor capable of producing 362 horsepower.
SQ5 Powertrain Specifications
The final engine powers the Audi SQ5. This high-performance model uses a turbocharged V6 that delivers more powerful power than the base model. Basically, there are 101 more horses, or a total of 349 hp. Since there is more power, the upcoming SQ5 will use a new Tiptronic 8-speed automatic.
Release date and price
The recently announced Audi SQ5 will be released sometime this year. At the same time, we can also expect the high-performance SQ5 model. As you may even know, the price of the new model Q5 is still the same and (MSRP) of the base model is $44,300. However, higher trims bring more premium materials, and the Premium Plus model starts at €51,000 (Euro). Basically, the fully loaded model will be near €58,000 (Euro).
The SQ5 offers an aggressive approach and has a more powerful engine. This model starts at €53,900 (Euro). In addition, adding some optional features to the price of SQ5 can reach €70,000 (Euro).
