Audi TT/TTS 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Audi TT/TTS established itself as a style icon with its memorable first-generation design, and the current third-generation TT remains stylish to this day. But it’s also just sporty compared to other tougher two-door sports cars like the Toyota Supra or Porsche 718. It’s available as a coupe and convertible, offering either a 228-hp base TT or a more powerful 288-hp TTS model.
Audi TT/TTS
(We test the high-performance TT RS separately.) Although it’s not made for the track, the TT is fun; all-wheel drive is standard, as is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission—but there’s no manual transmission, unfortunately.
What’s new ?
Audi has added an optional bronze-themed appearance package that includes bronze 20-inch wheels, bronze interior trim pieces, and contrast stitching for the leather seats and other interior parts.
The TT is more about styling than outright performance, so we’d go for the base TT coupe rather than the more expensive TTS. (If you really want a powerful TT, go for the exciting five-cylinder TT RS with nearly 400 horsepower.) Audi added a lot of standard equipment , so for a model we’d only consider the 19-inch wheel package, which includes summer tires.
Engine, transmission and performance
Under the hood of the TT lives a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The TTS gets a beefed-up version of that engine, tuned to produce 288 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Both cars feature a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Quattro all-wheel drive. Whether you choose the TT or the TTS, you’ll enjoy responsive handling.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The EPA has not yet rated the TT. Last year, both body styles of the Audi TT achieved fuel economy of 23/31 mpg city/highway. That makes the TT a more fuel-efficient choice than competing sports cars like the Porsche 718 Cayman (21/27 mpg). For the TTS, the EPA estimated gas mileage of 23/29 mpg. For more information on the TT’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.
Interior, comfort and cargo
Both the TT and TTS offer cabins that are temples of chic minimalism. The design is graceful and contemporary, and high-quality materials are used throughout. The front seats are more comfortable than you’d expect from a small sports car. Technically, this coupe model seats four, but the cramped back seat is best suited for luggage and shopping bags. There’s also a lack of storage in the cabin. The convertible variant of this Audi offers 8 cubic feet of cargo space, while the coupe offers 12 cubic feet.
Infotainment and connectivity
Navigation, a premium audio system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all standard features. Interestingly, the TT does not have a central screen or touchscreen, and instead displays infotainment functions in the digital instrument cluster in front of the driver. Most of these functions are controlled via buttons on the steering wheel.
Safety and driver assistance functions
The Audi TT and TTS are not available with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking or drowsy driver monitoring. These features are standard or optional on many of the TT’s closest competitors. For more information on the TT’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:
- Standard parking sensors front and rear
- Standard blind spot monitoring
Warranty and maintenance coverage
Audi’s warranty coverage matches the protection offered by competing luxury brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz , but BMW offers longer free maintenance coverage.
Price Audi TT/TTS
The cheapest Audi TT is the regular coupe, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of €49,800 plus destination charges. The TT Roadster costs an additional €4,100, and the TTS coupe starts at €59,500. The TT RS is a later arrival for the model year, but considering that pricing for the rest of the range is the same as , we expect this most powerful model to cost around €72,500.
