Bentley Continental GT 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Although the Bentley Continental GT is designed to make you feel like you’ve arrived, it’s also a great car to make the journey unforgettable. The GT stands for Grand Touring, and the Conti’s cabin is truly magnificent, pampering its occupants with rich leather, gorgeous wood and beautiful metal trim mixed with modern technology, ample amenities and enough cargo space for those who don’t travel light. Both a coupe and a convertible are offered, as well as a high-performance Speed variant.

Bentley Continental GT

The Continental GT offers a balanced chassis with just the right amount of athleticism for twisty canyon roads and a smooth ride. All that greatness comes at a high price, but the six-figure outlay only serves to broaden the Bentley Continental GT’s appeal.

What’s new ?

A more powerful Speed model rejoins the Continental GT lineup , powered by a 650-horsepower version of the car’s W-12 engine; updates to the chassis to improve agility. These new handling enhancers include rear-wheel steering and a torque-vectoring rear differential. The Speed also features special styling features such as Speed badging, unique 22-inch wheels, microfiber interior trim – and optional carbon fiber dashboard trim.

Oddly enough, we prefer the cheapest of the four Continental GT models, the Continental GT V8 Coupe. Bentley’s V-8 is a finely polished gem of an engine that gives the W-12 a touch of top-end performance but makes for a coupe that’s just as quick and agile in real-world conditions. It’s only at very high speeds that the W-12 engine’s increased power makes a difference. And while we like the wind in our hair as much as the next guy, we’d go for the coupe because the arched roofline ties the car’s style together so elegantly that we find it irresistible.

Engine, transmission and performance

Updated versions of the existing V-8 and W-12 engines that powered the previous-generation Continental GT offer muscle car performance. Our testing of the older model found that the V-8, which makes 542 horses, can propel the coupe to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. The more expensive W-12 engine makes 626 horsepower in non-Speed models and can motivate a coupe to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. The same engine has been tuned to 650 horsepower in the Speed model, but we haven’t tested that one yet. Both engines use an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that churns out quick but smooth gear changes. Customers can order the coupe or convertible with either engine. And all Continental GTs come standard with all-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

When a twin-turbo V-8 is the most fuel-efficient offering in a given model, you know efficiency isn’t a priority for the automaker – or its customers. The EPA rates the Continental V-8 at 16 mpg city and 26 highway. In our real-world testing, we averaged 28 mpg in a V-8 model in our 200-mile highway fuel economy test. For more information on the Continental GT’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.

Interior, comfort and cargo

We expect a luxurious cabin from anything that bears the Bentley badge, and this two-door is no different. The interior is swathed in fragrant leather and rich wood veneers, and almost everything about the Continental GT is customizable – for a price, of course. Bentley’s designers have thought it all through, and every time behind the wheel reveals a surprising detail, like expertly knurled control buttons and double-stitched diamond-patterned seat covers.

Although the Continental GT is technically equipped with seatbelts for four occupants, we recommend that you do not use the back seat to transport adult-sized people, as both legroom and headroom are limited. In our testing, we were able to fit five carry-on suitcases in the Continental’s trunk – plenty of room for a weekend getaway with your favorite travel companion.

Infotainment and connectivity

A 12.3-inch infotainment display dominates the center of the instrument panel. It is part of a unique three-sided rotating unit that also includes a panel with three small analogue displays for outside air temperature, time and compass heading, and a third side that shows only the matching instrument panel trim. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is a digital instrument display that allows the driver to control most of the Continental GT’s functions using the steering wheel controls. The Continental GT offers two optional audio systems: a Bang & Olufsen arrangement and a spectacular Naim system.

Safety and driver assistance functions

Bentley offers optional driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, a night vision system and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection – items we would expect to see as standard given the high starting price. For more information on the Continental GT’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:

  • Available automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Available lane departure warning with lane keeping assist
  • Available adaptive cruise control

Warranty and maintenance coverage

Rather than capping the Continental GT’s standard warranty policy with mileage limits, Bentley covers everything for three years, regardless of how far the car is driven. The company also offers the first service visit with its compliments after one year or 10,000 miles.

Price Bentley Continental GT

A high-end tier of a luxury car, the Bentley Continental GT isn’t cheap, but with its release scheduled for fall , pricing is still an estimate for now. Estimates suggest the bottom end of the range, the V8-powered coupe, will start at around €210,000 (Euro), while the top-end GT Speed will reach into the €300,000 (Euro) range.
