BMW iX1 spy shots

In terms of design, the new BMW iX1 will be closer to the regular X1 SUV. The spy photos show exactly that, as we can easily see a traditional shape of the said model. However, the electric version seems to be a bit sportier. The biggest difference between iX1 and X1 models is of course the closed kidney grille, like on the iX3 variant.

Another difference is the charging port, but we couldn’t see it under heavy camouflage. The rear end looks exactly like the rear apron of the next-gen X1 model. The rear bumper looks more prominent and the rear roofline is perhaps more sloping.

Interior Details

The interior of the upcoming BMW iX1 is clearly based on the current 1 Series. Thanks to this, the electric SUV comes with a lot of premium features, including a larger display and many high-quality materials. A 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard and comes with the latest version of the iDrive system. The iX1 offers a fully digital driver display as an option.

Interestingly, the all-electric version offers less space in the cabin compared to the regular X1 model. Spy shots don’t reveal any further details, but we hope to see a familiar hexagonal steering wheel and an optional 14.9-inch display.

Load and range of motion

The all-new BMW iX1 will most likely use the same system as the iX3 variant. The BMW iX3 brings 286 hp and an electric range of about 285 kilometers with 80 kWh battery, the IX1 will follow a similar path, so we don’t expect many surprises.
In any case, this SUV offers 150 kW fast charging, which covers about 100 kilometers in just 10 minutes of charging. On the other hand, it takes about 12 hours for a home charger to fully charge the battery. However, the iX1 is a smaller model, so we expect more efficiency. The maximum range option is said to offer a range of 480 km.

Price, release date

We do not currently know the price of the BMW iX1 SUV, but BMW has not announced the price of the regular petrol model X1 either. Of course, the electric option will be more expensive and some experts predict that the price will start at €50,000 (Euro) or even more. Pre-sales will begin in the first quarter of .
