Bugatti Centodieci: Exclusive Hypercar in Honor of the Brand’s 110th Anniversary.

Limited to ten units, unveiled in 2019 and only scheduled for first delivery in , it’s not easy to pin the exclusive Bugatti Centodieci down to a single model year. Essentially, Bugatti will be ready with the car when it’s ready with the car, and no traditional timeline will constrain pre-production testing.

Sports car Centodieci

The Centodieci is based on the Chiron but has an all-new body that evokes the spirit of the EB110SS supercar commissioned when Bugatti was in the hands of its Italian previous owner – hence the Italian name. Directly translated, the name means 110, drawing attention to the 110th anniversary of the Bugatti brand.

Specifications and features

The Bugatti Centodieci is a limited-edition hypercar built as a tribute to the EB110 of the 1990s, offering various modern interpretations of the EB110’s distinctive styling cues. Based on the Chiron, the Centodieci is powered by the same 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine but produces more power at 1,578bhp.

Torque remains the same as in the Chiron at 1,180 lb-ft, and the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive carry over. As for the Centodieci, the rare Centodieci weighs 44 pounds less than the Chiron due to weight savings, but top speed is limited to 236 mph earlier. As a plus, the Centodieci accelerates harder than the car it’s based on, but aside from those power changes and, of course, a unique body, the Centodieci is very similar to the Chiron.

The Bugatti Centodieci is a limited edition hypercar that celebrates the brand’s 110th anniversary while paying tribute to the company’s Italian former owner and the EB110 supercar created in the 1990s. From the outside, the design is insanely radical and looks completely different to any other contemporary Bugatti model. Extensive use of carbon fiber contributes to a relatively low curb weight, while additional power improves the Centodieci’s acceleration. Just ten units will be produced over a two-year period, and all have already been spoken for.

Centodieci outside

As already mentioned, the design of the Centodieci is intended to be a modern interpretation of the design of the EB110. At the front, there are ultra-flat LED headlights in narrow slots and a relatively tiny horseshoe grille with horizontal stripes on both sides.

Beneath is a massive carbon spoiler, while the profile features redesigned wheels that would be at home on a concept car like this one. Blacked-out A-pillars give a visor-like look to the greenhouse, behind which cheese-grater vents direct air to the engine, which features a unique glass cover.

At the back, a massive LED light array forms the taillight setup, with a huge wing at the top of the tail. Below that sits a huge diffuser, while double-stacked exhaust tips complete the unique design.

Mass

The Centodieci is slightly wider and lower than the Chiron on which it is based, with an overall width of 80.6 inches by a height of 47.3 inches. Overall length and wheelbase remain unchanged at 178.9 and 106.7 inches, respectively, but thanks to more extensive use of composite materials, the Centodieci is slightly lighter than the 4,400-pound Chiron, weighing 4,356 pounds.

Interior Bugatti Centodieci

The Centodieci has an almost identical interior to the Chiron, with only a few minor trims, accents and logos changing. This means two luxurious heated seats ensure occupants are in supreme comfort, with plenty of head and legroom even for six-footers. The seats are supportive on long journeys, but all-round visibility is poor, although that shouldn’t be a problem in a car that’s likely only ever moved to be displayed.

There are no official cargo volume figures for the Centodieci, but you can be sure that this car’s practicality is inversely proportional to its price. You only get two cubic feet of volume in the regular Chiron, and the Centodieci isn’t likely to break any new ground in that department.

Inside the cabin, a decent glovebox is accompanied by a space in the center console for the phone and keys. You also get lockable door bins, but not much else.

There’s little information on the Centodieci’s equipment, but you can expect the Chiron’s heated power seats, power steering, rain-sensing wipers, rearview camera and heated power mirrors to carry over. Parking sensors are likely to be included, as are cruise control, adaptive height-adjustable suspension, ambient interior lighting and a cooled glovebox. As with the Chiron, don’t expect advanced driver aids like adaptive cruise control or autonomous emergency braking.

Price Bugatti Centodieci
