Buick Envision 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Big changes are coming from Buick for next year as the new Envision is on the way. The next generation of this compact crossover brings with it a host of firsts, and the new design will surely improve its position in the market.
Buick Envision
As you might assume, the new Buick Envision will be practically the same vehicle as the Chinese market Envision S that was recently launched. It brings several kinds of improvements compared to the outgoing model.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new Buick Envision offers a far more appealing exterior as well as significant improvements inside, including new aesthetics and finer materials. In addition, you can count on the latest tech goodies as well as a new powertrain. Some forms of electrification are also possible. According to reports, the new model is set to hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
Buick Envision redesign
As mentioned, the Buick Envision redesign brings a lot of changes. Of course, the basic design features are the first that come to mind. The current D2 platform will be replaced by the E2 platform, which also underpins the new Cadillac Escalade EXT . The new model will be a bit more spacious, but will also lose some weight. Of course, that won’t be the only change. We’re about to see all kinds of other mechanical novelties that are sure to improve ride quality.
Of course, the new model will also bring new styling. We expect there to be no major differences with the Chinese version, which looks significantly better compared to the outgoing generation. The new shape is sleeker, while everything looks much more mature. All in all, we can finally say that Buick has styling that makes it competitive in the premium segment.
Inner
At this point, interior details are a mystery. However, we expect the cabin to not be much different compared to the Chinese version. This means you can count on a cabin design that is fairly high overall quality, a cabin that combines very fine materials with a beautiful aesthetic. You can also count on the latest tech goodies, including the new infotainment system. Base models will likely come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, while higher trim levels will likely come with a larger 10-inch unit.
Along with the new look, we’ll also see slight improvements to the interior. The new model will be a little shorter in terms of overall length, but the wheelbase will be increased by 1.1 inches. Because of this, we’ll see a little more legroom. The new model will also be a little wider, so rear seat passengers will get a little more shoulder room as well. Cargo space will also get a few more cubic feet, though we’re still waiting on the details.
Buick Envision Engine
Things under the hood probably won’t change too much compared to the outgoing model. Most likely, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder will remain reserved for base versions. On the other hand, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will power higher trim levels, although we’ll likely see a new version of the engine. Compared to the current unit, the new one packs 237 horsepower. The old one is good for more than 250 horses, but the company claims fuel economy has been significantly improved.
In any case, both engines are combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission that transmits power either to the front wheels or to all wheels.
Buick Envision Price
We expect Buick Envision sometime in the last quarter of the year. In terms of price, the latest reports do not indicate a major increase compared to the current model. Therefore, base versions will probably go around 34/35 thousand € (Euro). We expect the new Envision to compete with models such as Infiniti QX50 , Lincoln Corsair , Lexus NX , Land Rover Discovery .
