Buick Riviera 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

After two concepts have already been revealed, the Buick Riviera is close to being released. This model has been in the making for a long time. The prospect of finally getting this car seems very exciting and people would say that it seems almost impossible that the production version will hit the streets anytime soon.

Buick Riviera

The original concept for this revolutionary car was created in 2007, while the second was manufactured in 2013 and both were presented at the Beijing Auto Show.

Now that they have had enough time to make all the adjustments, the spy photos have presented us with a model that is almost ready for production. It is a car that maintains many of the characteristics of its concept versions, but also includes some details that have just been finalized.

The prospect of this car is mainly seen through the introduction of the brand new dual-mode W-PHEV engine. This is said to be the first wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that actually allows the vehicle to be charged wirelessly.

The new images that have been shown are just a preparation for the release date that is coming soon. The model will most certainly be released as a version and we can expect to see all the details any time now. But for now, here’s a review to make sense of things.

Possible release date of Riviera

The two concept models leading up to the Buick Riviera only show us what potential the car can have. However, the exact release date is not yet set and we await confirmation. The model will probably receive its global recognition at the Beijing Auto Show, as it has always done so far, but the ultimate final product will probably be available in .

Possible price for the Buick Riviera

At this point, it can be quite difficult to determine the price of the future Buick Riviera. The car has future technologies that have not been seen or evaluated so far and we have nothing to compare it with. But we can say that we do not expect it to be given for less than €50,000 (Euros) only for its launch model. The price will probably go even further and we can expect to receive it at the official unveiling or shortly after.

Exterior concept design

What the exterior design of the Buick Riviera brings us is a very futuristic kind of design. The philosophy behind the exterior design of the original concept model was “The greatest commodity is like water.” The design of their vehicle has been based on this premise for some time, and the concept model had some very elegant lines inspired by movement from nature and updated with some specific Buick features.

Things that have been specifically added include Buick’s famous waterfall grille, wing-shaped daytime running lights, a chopped windshield, a metal fiber spoiler, a 14-degree fastback design, active pneumatic wheels, active grille shutters and diffusers. The image we’re seeing right now probably won’t make it to the production version of the car, but if we get even half of it, we can say we’re very happy with the car’s styling.

Interior details

The interior of the Buick Riviera will come with all new and luxurious additions and materials. The car has changed a little from its launch concept version, but some of the elements added after the launch of the design inside the car have been retained. The car features a well-structured center console with floating seats and an adaptive seating system. The mix of materials is sandblasted aluminum alloy lava suede and ebony, so we get the ultimate appeal.

There is also an announcement that this car will have an innovative mobile internet system that supports high-speed 4G LTE. This can enable it to perform feats such as real-time traffic information, weather updates, and news. It also allows it to communicate with other vehicles of its kind.

Powertrain innovations

The Buick Riviera is considered to be the car of the future. As such, it supports a highly advanced and very complicated powertrain system. The model will use a GM’s brand new dual-mode W-PHEV that can be charged wirelessly. Although it can be charged using a traditional cable, it’s much more exciting if you use this type of option. The type of powertrain the car will use is said to produce 250 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.

0-62 mph per hour acceleration and top speed

Although the information about acceleration and top speed is not yet official, we can trust that it is very close to the potential final product. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour is currently estimated at around 5 seconds, while the car can develop a top speed of 155 mph.

Fuel consumption statistics

The car is nearing its release date, but the Buick Riviera has not released its official fuel specifications. The model will be part of the lineup that will look to the future and bring us a much better and more eco-friendly concept. The vehicles are said to be one of the better cars when it comes to fuel economy. It is mainly an electronic car and offers absolutely no emissions. But there will probably be a hybrid version that also offers the use of a gasoline engine along the line. This is still in development, but the idea is to make an effective and completely efficient electronic car.

Dimensions

The Buick Riviera has not been released yet. There were some specifications when the concept model appeared, but they were later scrapped with the second concept. We believe the dimensions that were kept for the second concept version will be retained, but there is no telling if they will go for something new here. All in all, the car seems perfectly balanced and looks good for the type of car and the segment it will compete in.

What are the safety rates?

The new Buick Riviera is expected to bring us a very affordable and advanced safety system. The scores that the car will receive are likely to be very high and the ultimate product will be one of the better ones for the brand. Technologies that deal with safety include a pioneering active safety system with 10 high-resolution cameras and 18 high-precision micro-sensors. The new intelligent driver assistance system offers other active safety features to the occupants: Eagle Vision Recording System, Night Vision Assist, Side Blind Zone Warning System, Lane Departure Warning System, Full Speed Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist System, Parking Assist System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert System, Autopilot System and “Transparent” A-pillars.

Competing models

The Buick Riviera is set to be the car of the future. It doesn’t just mean that based on its styling and interior, but also everything that has been placed inside it. Vehicles like the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 certainly have the luxury and appeal to take on the Riviera, but it remains to be seen what actual offering they can provide.
