This was caused by the fact that the previous ELR was actually dead in terms of sales and the new Cadillac ELR intends to revive its lifeline status. It now seems to us that Cadillac has treated almost all the ills that afflicted the old ELR, which actually featured on ten worst cars on most vehicle review websites.

Price and release date

It’s interesting to note that the old ELR cost €76,000, but the new Cadillac ELR model is only €58,495 after the credits. That’s an incredible reduction of almost 10 grand, which is definitely impressive. We’re not sure about the release date yet, but the car should be released during the Geneva Motor Show.

Exterior view

Not much has changed on the Cadillac ELR, which still has the good-looking demeanor with a tight, cohesive look on the outside that boasts plenty of boldness. You’d be very remiss to hate the new ELR’s styling.

The rear end rises slightly, overhanging only slightly from the front, while the window surrounds as well as the flanks have been given chrome elements. The only notable difference would be the grille, which now has a solid, simpler and square crest, freed from the circular surround.

A more luxurious interior defines the ELR when it debuts. Moreover, the features it possesses are nothing but the best. There is a 4G LTE integrated Wi-Fi hotspot included that can support up to seven people at a time. The wireless internet connection is always active as long as the ELR is on. It also comes with a 3-month 3GB trial. There is also the inductive cell phone charging which is wireless in case you didn’t know and charges on the instrument panel, freeing up the other three USB ports.

Engine from Cadillac ELR

Cadillac noticed the flaws that the old ELR had and made a clear point by trying to revamp the uninspiring performance. The new Cadillac ELR has been blessed by Cadillac, which injects more muscle and better handling by 25% in numerical terms. With full use of the 1.4-liter gasoline engine, the ELR can achieve a range of up to 330 miles. If it runs on electricity alone, it will provide 39 miles of emission-free driving. The battery pack is located at the back of the hybrid car for weight distribution.
