Chevrolet Bolt 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The Chevrolet Bolt takes the underpinnings of the regular Bolt EV hatchback and covers them with sheetmetal that makes it look much more like an SUV—which, of course, is the body style that American buyers greatly prefer.

Chevy squeezes 247 miles of range from the EUV’s 65.0-kWh battery pack. Not long ago, that looked like an impressive range; not anymore. The EUV’s 200-horsepower electric motor drives only the front wheels and offers decent power, and there are no claims of serious off-road capability – which puts the EUV on par with many of its competitors. After all, it’s not like EV SUVs like the Hyundai Kona Electric, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Tesla Model Y also offer rock-crawling capabilities.

The Bolt EUV has plenty of competitors to beat on tech, as the top-of-the-line Premier trim level is available with General Motors’ Super Cruise hands-free feature. Recent price cuts have also given it an MSRP advantage over others in the segment, all of which cost more to start, though some are still eligible for a $7500 federal tax credit while the Chevy is not. In other words, whether the little Chevy is a good deal depends on what other electric vehicles are on your consideration list.

What’s new ?

The Bolt EUV gets a new Redline Edition package that can be applied to either the LT or Premier trim. Opting for the Redline Edition model swaps the standard Bolt EUV’s chrome exterior trim for gloss black and includes unique wheels with a red stripe. The bigger news, however, is that the Bolt EUV and its hatchback sibling, the Bolt EV, get a significant price cut this year that lowers their starting prices by $6300.

We’d recommend the high-end Premier trim, especially now that the Bolt EUV is priced well below last year’s model. Opting for the Premier adds plenty of standard equipment that justifies the extra spend, including leather upholstery, power front seats with heating and ventilation, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

LADEN

The great thing about Chevrolet Bolt EV is that you can charge your battery as much or as little as you want. Without thinking, plugging in could become part of your daily routine. In addition, with location-based charging, you can program the Bolt EV to charge at home during off-peak electricity hours or start charging immediately when you plug in the device away from home.

OUTSIDE

Sculpted bodywork and strong wheel arches provide a solid and robust presence on the road. Thanks to a thermal management system, the battery does not require air cooling and the underbody can be enclosed to optimize airflow and improve aerodynamics.
