Chevrolet Colorado 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The new Chevrolet Colorado is a perfect pickup truck for people who don’t need a big truck. Updating this car was more than necessary. It’s already the third year that the current Colorado has been released, so they needed something new so that the car continues to be competitive and useful for the segment. The new model will be a double wagon to the GMC Canyon in many ways .

While the changes aren’t implemented as effectively, we expect better performance and more fuel-efficient performance from this car. They also make the truck more refined, but we’re also getting the same kind of truck when it comes to size. The exterior updates are small, but they’re enough to keep the new Colorado afloat, at least for some time.

The redesigned Chevrolet Colorado will also be able to hold up to rival models much better. With the latest setup, we get a car that offers a lot more and is very well suited to the market. It is also available in WT, LT and Z71 configurations this year and we can’t wait to see it in action after the release date. Here is our take on this review.

When is the Chevrolet Colorado release date?

We can expect the release of the Chevrolet Colorado much sooner than initially thought. The car is expected to hit the pavement by the end of this year. The model was first primed for a release date and will still remain a model, but will be available a little earlier.

Price

Although updated, the Chevrolet Colorado will have only a slight price increase. The current outgoing model has a base MSRP of €20,055, and we expect it to be around €22,000 for the entry-level range, while the upper limit will rise to €36,000. If you want to buy this Colorado, you can also consider Chevrolet Colorado.

What are the external changes?

Although the Chevrolet Colorado adopts some global styling cues, it is still a very good looking car for its segment. This model manages to use a smaller and sleeker grille and has rising shoulder lines. This in some ways changes and softens the usual silhouette of a pickup truck, but the boxy fenders still make this model a truck. Although the lines are now softer, the model still shows the necessary ruggedness it needs for the segment. The softer touches for Colorado are actually made due to the global aspirations of this model, as it is already enjoying a lot of success with fans in Asia and South America, where the truck is sold.

What are the interior features?

Inside, the Chevrolet Colorado bears a greater resemblance to the Silverado model. It draws the style and ruggedness of a Silverado truck , but offers better finishes than a Tacoma model . The steering wheel is a bit hefty, but it has additional controls for better use. The shield-shaped dashboard features the primary controls and an LCD display, while a gearshift lever is mounted on a fairly wide console, allowing the cabin to be split right down the middle. The redesign makes the Colorado’s interior as truck-like as it needs to be, while also adding some softer and more elegant features.

Chevrolet Colorado engine selection

What’s special about the Chevrolet Colorado is that it offers different engine options. A total of three variants are offered and each buyer has something different to choose from for their own use. A novelty for Colorado, but not for other GM products, is the new V-6 engine with an output of 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. This comes with direct injection and cylinder displacement and also combines with 8-speed automatic transmission.

A 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-4 engine was first introduced for the linkage last year and will continue to be used this year as well. It will give us 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque at just 2,000 rpm and also has a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. The last option is the 4-cylinder gasoline engine offering that makes 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque.

0-62 mph per hour acceleration and top speed for the Chevrolet Colorado

The ability to accelerate to 100 km per hour will not change for the new Chevrolet Colorado . The car will maintain the same time to go from zero to 100 km per hour, doing so in 6.1 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 100 mph.

Fuel consumption values

The model doesn’t have great fuel economy, even for the Chevrolet Colorado. The most popular choice will likely be the V-6 engine, as it can produce 18 MPG City, 25 Highway, 20 Combined, or 17/24/19 MPG with the all-wheel drive. The best fuel economy ratings come with the 4-cylinder rear-wheel drive engine, which gets 20/27/22 mpg, and those numbers change to 20/26/22 mpg if you opt for the automatic version, while with the all-wheel drive they come to 19/25/21 mpg. Finally, the rear-wheel drive turbodiesel option has an EPA rating of 22/30/25 mpg, while the numbers change to 20/28/23 mpg for the all-wheel drive version.

Dimensions of the Chevrolet Colorado

The size will not change for the upcoming Chevrolet Colorado. The dimensions are 212.7 inches full length, wheelbase 128.3 inches, height 70.6 inches, width 74.3 inches. The interior passenger volume is 107 cu ft while the curb weight is 4493 lb.

Safety specifications

The new version of the Chevrolet Colorado simply carries over the crash test results from the previous version for now. Unfortunately, only the federal tests were conducted on the previous version and were not so favorable for the model. In fact, the NHTSA gave it a 4-star rating, while the calculated rollover value was only 3 stars. The IIHS gives it a “good” rating for its small overlap front test.

Standard safety equipment includes six standard airbags with larger side bags that make it easier for passengers to eject in the event of a rollover. We get visibly better with the help of some oversized side mirrors and a rearview camera. Other standard equipment includes a stability control system, hill descent control systems and trailer sway control.

Other competing cars to consider

Besides the obvious choices, the Chevrolet Colorado will have a few other competing models and vehicles that can be considered replacements for the segment. The obvious favorites are the GMC Canyon and Toyota Tacoma , but other vehicles that make the list include the Honda Ridgeline and Nissan Frontier .
