Chevrolet Equinox EV 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Although it bears the Equinox nameplate, the Chevrolet Equinox EV has little else in common with that compact SUV, not least its powertrain that swaps gasoline for electrons. The exterior of the Equinox EV combines futuristic accents with more traditional crossover design elements and looks pretty cool.
SUV Chevrolet Equinox EV
Chevy hasn’t released many details about the new SUV yet, but we expect a range of nearly 300 miles per charge. Unlike the smaller Bolt EV SUV , we expect all-wheel drive to be an option on the Equinox EV, which likely means two electric motors and a bit more power than the 200-hp Bolt.
Technical characteristics
Both the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV will be based on the GM Ultium EV architecture, which uses a scalable skateboard-style platform for stationary batteries. The Ultium will also appear in the Cadillac Lyriq , GMC Hummer EV, and the aforementioned electric Silverado . In those vehicles, GM claims a range of over 300 miles (up to 400 in pickups), though the smaller Equinox and Blazer will likely get 250 to 300 miles on a single charge.
If that happens, Chevrolet EV crossovers will be in the hunt with the Ford Mach E, which offers 224 miles on the low end and 314 miles on the high end. Although pricing for the Blazer hasn’t been confirmed, the Equinox’s target starting price of roughly $30,000 would make it one of the most affordable long-range EVs on the market, reinforcing GM’s claim that EVs are becoming more affordable for the average person. The Equinox will be available for both fleet and retail in fall , and Chevy has confirmed that the popular LT and RS trims will be among them.
Interior, comfort and cargo
Few details have been revealed about the interior of the Equinox EV, but from the photos we can see a digital dashboard similar to that of the recently revealed Silverado EV and styling themes that mirror the Bolt EV hatchback and Bolt EUV crossover. The passenger compartment looks similar to the current Equinox, but we’ll have to wait for more details and a test drive to know for sure.
Chevrolet Equinox EV Preis
The Equinox EV will be an all-new, all-electric model when it joins the Chevrolet lineup in fall as a model.
So far, only LT and RS trim levels have been announced, but Chevy could expand the lineup with a base LS trim or a top-tier Premier closer to the Equinox EV’s on-sale date. Pricing isn’t official, but we’re told the starting price will be around $26,500.
