Available in Silverado 1500HD, 2500HD and 3500HD trims, various configurations, improved interior materials and extremely powerful powerplants, the new Chevrolet Silverado HD is undoubtedly an excellent choice for those shopping in the heavy-duty pickup truck segment. The release date should be expected in February next year if online reports are to be trusted.
Chevrolet Silverado
These trucks offer solid build quality, available CNG fueling for the regular V8, powerful diesel engines, smooth and refined highway rides, and impressive towing and hauling capabilities are just a few of the features to look forward to once you see the vehicle being made available.
The overall design and material quality of the Chevrolet Silverado HD lineup is impressive, to say the least. The materials used are high quality and a lot of high-end technology has been invested in the new trucks. Additionally, the instrument cluster readouts are a breeze to use regardless of whether it’s day or night. If you spend an extra, you get beautiful accent stitching and accents to match the already sumptuous cabin.
The central display is located tightly between the speedometer and tachometer and is easy to use, unlike the previous one, where it received widespread criticism for being unresponsive. In addition, Chevy has now updated its MyLink infotainment system, which also caused dissatisfaction in the previous model.
The seats are comfortable and supportive. For , Chevy has now equipped the vehicle with a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, unlike the previous model that came with a tilt-only steering. When it comes to the hood, the vehicle offers sprightly turbocharged engines ranging from as little as 397 hp to about 650 hp.
These standard features help the Silverado achieve easier and smoother towing: automatic braking, diesel exhaust braking, trailer sway control, and integrated cruise control. However, the segment that the new Chevrolet Silverado HD is entering is highly competitive and includes competitors such as the Ram 2500 and the Ford F-250 Super Duty. Although some of the competitors offer better power and off-road performance, the Chevrolet Silverado HD is undoubtedly a very capable workhorse.
