Chevrolet Traverse 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The new Chevrolet Traverse will remain largely unchanged compared to the previous edition. The second generation of the mid-size SUV arrived in 2018. Therefore, most of its systems are still modern. However, the infotainment is updated. The SUV is spacious and will meet the requirements of the most demanding owners. There is room for seven or eight passengers. The third row is a bit tight. It is suitable for children.

The engine lineup remains the same. There are two powertrains to choose from. A turbo-four is the base. However, drivers are more interested in the V6 powertrain with a total of 310 horsepower. There have been some rumors about a hybrid powertrain, but it won’t happen this time. Also, General Motors is not considering a Duramax diesel for this midsize model. The good thing about this SUV is that the price remains unchanged. The Crossover with a four-cylinder engine costs around €32,000 (Euros) with the destination charge.
Teen Driver
The new feature for the Chevrolet Traverse will be the “Teen Driver.” This system does not allow high speeds before the seatbelt is buckled. The transmission stays in park for the first 20 seconds. After that, drivers can go faster, so the feature is not difficult to beat.
It will, however, slow someone down or prompt the driver to buckle up their seatbelt. The company said several other features will also improve safety. The report card shows parents various statistics – for example, how many speed limits are being exceeded. In addition to the new Travers, Chevy Malibu and Colorado will get this system for the season.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantage of the Chevrolet Traverse will be space. Passengers will have enough room for their heads and legs. Also, the layout of the new generation provides enough space for cargo. Behind the third row there is 23 cubic feet of space. When the second row is folded, the volume increases to 58 cubic feet, or 98 cubic feet of maximum space. The infotainment system is also one of the best on the market. However, the Chevy Traverse should get more quality. Competitors take advantage of this situation. The engine is not too powerful, but it drives smoothly thanks to the new nine-speed gearbox.
Chevrolet Traverse Specifications
Under the hood of the Chevrolet Traverse is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It is capable of delivering 250 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The transmission sends power to the front wheels only. Maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds. If you want 5,000 pounds, there is a V6 unit. With 310 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, fuel economy increases. The 3.6-liter V6 delivers 22 mpg combined. If you opt for an AWD model, fuel economy drops by 1 mpg. The dual-clutch transmission is available on the High Country Edition.
Chevrolet Traverse trim levels
Another good thing about the Chevrolet Traverse is a wide range of trim levels and features. The base SUV is L. Rearview camera and LED daytime running lights are standard, as are 18-inch wheels. The infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the 7-inch touchscreen display. The LS model offers a few more standard and many optional features. The LT package is available with cloth or leather. Power adjustable mirrors, black roof rails and fog lights are the main updates to this suite.
Larger wheels are available with RS trim. This is where a turbo-four engine takes its place. There are also some signature features that set this model apart from others. However, Premier is even more luxurious with heated seats and dual exhaust tips. Chrome details and special LED lamps make a difference in the styling. High Country is a top-of-the-range model that will cost more than €53,000 (Euro). All other versions are available under €50,000 (Euro).
