That’s why drastic improvements are a must for this light-duty full-size pickup truck. As expected, GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado will release almost the same refreshes.

Engine setup remains intact
The Chevy Silverado 1500 offers the same engine lineup as its predecessor. This means that the Silverado pickup will continue to use its proven 5.3-liter V8 gasoline engine. The engine can deliver 355 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. A larger 6.2-liter engine is available as an option, producing 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Silverado will also sell a powerful 3.0-liter diesel engine. The six-cylinder unit can offer more torque and improved fuel efficiency. A hybrid powertrain is a rumor at the moment, but Silverado still needs some form of electrification. However, its main competitors already offer hybrid powertrain options.
Price and release date
The upcoming Chevy Silverado 1500 is scheduled to go on sale in summer . Chevrolet will offer up to eight trim levels and the price for the base trim now starts at €33,500 (Euro). This is a small price increase that is quite reasonable. More details will be available in the coming months.
