Citroen C5X 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Citroen has unveiled the Citroen C5X model, which interestingly received an “X” in its name and was developed with the Chinese market in mind. The new Citroen C5X is a cross-liftback with the same styling as the new C4 . It has a similar front-end design with X-shaped LED headlights and a massive central air intake in the front bumper.

Design, the car attracts attention with a black plastic body kit “in a circle”, high ground clearance and 19-inch wheels. The proportions of the novelties are more dynamic than their predecessor, but the drag coefficient Cx is not impressive by today’s standards – only 0.29.
Inner
The interior of the off-road liftback is characterized by the presence of a 7.0-inch virtual instrument with projection display. Citroen C5X features a new generation of the MyCitroen Drive Plus multimedia system. The latter relies on a 10.0 or 12.0-inch touchscreen (depending on the configuration) with sophisticated menu and voice control.
Also, the car has a miniature gear selector, which the designers “drowned” in the bowels of the central tunnel. In older trim levels, the car has more comfortable front seats, wood trim and a sunroof. The second row is designed to please passengers with spaciousness, but there is no separate climate zone for it.
Technical characteristics
The new body of the Citroen C5X is based on the EMP2 modular platform with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive. This “car” is known from the Peugeot 508 and DS 9. The total length of the liftback is 4,805 mm, the wheelbase is 2,785, the width is 1,865, the height is 1,485. The trunk volume is 545 liters, but it can be increased to 1,640 l.
The five-door model has MacPherson struts at the front, and either a beam or a multi-link can be installed at the rear. The chassis itself is sprung – Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, in which simple passive shock absorbers are additionally equipped with hydraulic travel limiters (instead of standard rubber dampers). During small suspension movements, these shock absorbers have low resistance, which achieves maximum softness, while the aforementioned hydraulic buffers are intended to protect against hard impacts.
For the more expensive versions of the Citroen C5X , an active suspension is declared, known from the models of the premium brand DS. In turn, springs are involved in its design, but at the same time there are also electronically controlled shock absorbers, the stiffness of which changes preventively based on data from cameras scanning the road five meters in front of the car. As for the power units, the base of the new Citroen C5X has a 1.2-liter turbo-three, while the more expensive versions have a 1.6-liter turbo-four. It is known that both engines belong to the PureTech family, but their characteristics have not yet been disclosed. They work in tandem with an eight-speed automatic.
Price Citroen C5X
The Citroen C5X is expected to cost from around €35,000, going up to over €45,000 for a top-of-the-range plug-in hybrid. You can expect the C5 X to come with standard equipment as it tries to steer private buyers away from mainstream alternatives such as the Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Superb and Kodiaq – cars that tend to have steadier remaining stocks and lower monthly payments. The C5 X will go on sale later this year, with first deliveries expected towards the end of /early.
