Citroën e-Berlingo
Citroen offers the well-known Berlingo functionality without compromise, adapting to all needs with spacious interior, modularity and practicality. The ë-Berlingo is available in two lengths for up to seven people. It retains the same spacious interior, three independent rear seats, a Modutop multifunctional roof and an opening rear window.
Design and features
From the outside, the Berlingo electric car looks exactly like the classic versions of the van. The novelty can only be recognized by the “ë” symbol placed in front of the model name on the left rear door and on the cover that hides the charging connector (located on the left side instead of the fuel filler flap).
In the Citroen e-Berlingo , we note the presence of a special ë-toggle switch for controlling the gearbox. It has five positions: Park, Rear, Neutral, Drive and Break. Nearby there is a selector for selecting the driving mode. As standard, the model is equipped with a multimedia system with a 5-inch display, which in the “Energy” tab displays the parameters of the power plant and the state of the battery. A 10-inch center screen and a color head-up display are available as options. Climate control and battery charging can be controlled via the My Citroën mobile app.
The electric Citroen e-Berlingo has also been dispatched to advanced electronic assistants. These include a 3D rear view camera, automatic braking, lane departure warning, trailer monitoring, driver monitoring and advanced traffic sign recognition. A bonus is the traffic jam indicator, a new option in the segment.
Battery and motor power
The electric motor drives the vehicle according to the selected driving mode and the driving conditions. With an output of 100 kW (136 hp) / 260 Nm, the ë-Berlingo reaches a top speed of 135 km/h regardless of the driving mode.
The driving modes are activated via a selector switch combined with a dedicated ë-toggle button:
• Normal – 80 kW / 210 Nm: offers the best compromise between operating range and dynamic performance;
• Eco – 60 kW / 180 Nm: optimizes energy consumption by reducing heating and air conditioning power without switching them off completely and limiting engine torque and power;
• Power – 100 kW / 260 Nm: offers improved driving characteristics and vehicle performance at maximum load.
Three charging modes are available. The battery can be recharged overnight using a simple Green’up socket.
