Compass Jeep 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Another SUV compact crossover is expected in a Compass Jeep body. This story is a direct response to the just-revealed model. The rumors originated at the opening of Fiat Chrysler America ‘s Jeep assembly plant in US to spark the conversation. Fiat Chrysler needs that to be there at the start of next year’s marketing campaign.
Jeep Compass
Jeep Compass is an SUV introduced in 2006 as a 2007 model. It is intended to be the entry-level sport utility vehicle just below the Jeep Wrangler. It shares this point with the Jeep Patriot. If that is very confusing, think of it as a family tree. Patriot and Compass are the two little brothers that live in the shadow of a big brother, Wrangler.
The talk around the Jeep Compass began in 2002 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The final production version never retained the original powertrain, however all stylistic details remained unchanged. We are now in the second generation of the Jeep Compass, the next step in the evolution of this rugged compact crossover, which traditionally has 4 models in the range. One is suitable for off-road use and three for extreme weather conditions.
We assume the press release is not just for South America. Continuing that assumption and seeing the 2017 model at the LA Auto Show, we can conclude that Fiat Chrysler has heard its customers. Please please God, let them keep the black stripe. I don’t think that’s too much to ask?
Release date and price
The production and release date of the Jeep Compass will depend a lot on how good the sales of the 2017 model will be. This is the first of its generation and it would be wise not to jump to conclusions. And since wisdom is not our strong suit, we can assume that you can expect the first photos sometime in the summer of next year and the showcase of the concept in the fall of .
Exterior design
The equipment variants of the 2016 model will be transferred to all future models. You can choose from:
- Sports
- Width
- Limited
- Trailhawk
We can only wish that the US version could look the same as the version presented in US. They don’t need to add anything, just update gadgets and safety according to the new technologies. In terms of design, the Compass Jeep will resemble its bigger brothers in style and quality of the chassis.
The styling where you have that black stripe that covers the entire top part of the vehicle has to be loved by everyone. There isn’t a person on this planet that can say it’s ugly. The rest of the details are harder to spot and include some high-tech daytime running lights, a smaller rear window and a chrome accent on the back of the new, narrow, slotted grille.
There is a dual pane sunroof option if you want additional openings.
In the back you have a little spoiler that’s there… God knows why. It’s not like you’re going to race with it.
The following colors are available for the Compass Jeep :
- Redline Red
- Spitfire Orange
- olive green
- Laser Blue Pearl
- Jazz Blue Pearl Coat
- Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat
- Diamond black crystal beaded coat
- Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat
- Pearl White Tri-Coat
- Bright white tri-coat
- Rhino Clear Coat (Limited and Trailhawk versions only).
The Jeep Patriot replacement will be built in Mexico instead of Illinois, but given the current political climate in Europe, those plans could be delayed or canceled.
Interior design
The main thing you will notice about the interior of the Jeep Compass is the variety and taste of colors. The designers decided to make the interior more vibrant by choosing the stitching in different colors than the materials used in the interior. Colors are tied to the money you spend on different grades like Sandstorm, Urbex, Alpine, Ski Gray and Trailhawk.
- The Sandstorm – Cloth seats, Moroccan Sun II or anodized gunmetal bezels, and a black instrument panel and door trim
- Urbex – Black fabric or black leather seats, two-tone light brown / grey stitching and anodised gunmetal bezels
- Alpine – limited edition representation. Light and bright
- Ski Grey – Only available on the Latitude model; Black and sky grey seats, McKinley leather; Jeep logos all around, black and grey door panels and gloss black trim
- Trailhawk – You can choose between leather or cloth seats. Red contrast stitching.
The infotainment system will most likely be a Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen system, which is also available in other models manufactured by Fiat-Chrysler.
Engine options
The Jeep Compass will have a 2.4-liter I4 engine tamed by a nine- or six-speed automatic transmission. To further improve economy, the Jeep Compass will feature stop-start technology and fuel economy will not increase further than 30 mpg.
