Dodge Barracuda 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
It’s been more than a decade since we first heard rumors about the Barracuda comeback. The legendary muscle car was supposed to return with a completely new design, with many similarities to the new Challenger. However, we haven’t seen anything yet. Nowadays, rumors about the comeback are starting to circulate again and from what we hear, experts have different visions for the new model, which could arrive as early as next year as the Dodge Barracuda.
Dodge Charger
Some sources suggest a true sports car design, very similar to the original model. Others believe it could come as a convertible version of the next-generation Challenger. Finally, some speculate about the possibility of seeing it fully electric. In any case, officials are still tight-lipped about the new Barracuda, so take everything you are about to read with great caution.

Among the three scenarios above, it makes the most sense to see a new Dodge Barracuda with an all-new design. It would have a typical sports car layout and we assume it would ride on Alfa Romeo ‘s Giorgio platform . This architecture proved to be excellent for sports cars like Alfa Romeo Giulia . So the new Cuda would definitely borrow some parts from it.
In terms of exterior design, we expect the new model to be similar in styling to the original from the 1970s. The overall size would also probably be smaller compared to the Challenger. This model would be lighter and more maneuverable.
The other scenario proposes a convertible version of the Challenger. This would also mean a completely new design, as the Challenger is also about to undergo a complete redesign. Here too, the Giorgio would be the basis of the new model, although we would probably see a slightly larger size.
Inner
When it comes to the interior of the Dodge Barracuda, it’s way too early to talk about details. Dodge hasn’t released a new model in years, so it still has to establish its new design philosophy, whether it’s exterior or interior design.
Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, we are counting on all kinds of powertrain options. This would also include various forms of electrification, so the base model would probably be equipped with a familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine equipped with the eTorque mild hybrid system. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected, especially after the launch of the new electrified Wrangler. This system is based on a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and has a combined power of 375 hp.
Of course, we’re also betting on pure petrol versions. For example, we could see a turbo-four on offer. But the real deal would definitely be versions with HEMI engines. Currently, Dodge has three V8 units on offer, starting with a 5.7-litre engine. A larger and more powerful 6.4-litre engine produces around 475bhp, while there’s also the possibility of seeing a version with a monstrous Hellcat supercharged engine.
Dodge Barracuda Electric
Finally, the third option for the Dodge Barracuda EV would be to consider it a fully electric vehicle. Electrification is an inevitable thing and using familiar nameplates always seems to be a great way to promote new technologies, just like Ford did with the Mustang E. So it would be pretty interesting to see a fully electric Barracuda.
In this case, the new model would be built from scratch, as a completely new vehicle. It could even come as a crossover, just like the all-electric Mustang. Further updates are expected in the future.
Price
We have little to say about the release date and price of the Dodge Barracuda at the moment, there are still rumors about the new model, so at best we can rely on rumors that say that a new model could appear as early as next year and that the price for the basic configuration will start at 26,000 euros.
