Ferrari 458 2025: price, consumption, picture, technical data.
We recently learned of an announcement for the launch of a Ferrari 458. But by the looks of things, we are actually in for a Speciale version, which is the top-of-the-range version of the base 458. Although people have been hoping for a new variant of the Ferrari 458, it will take longer for a next-generation version to be developed, so a Speciale seems like a perfect option to satisfy the public’s urge.
Ferrari458
The Ferrari 458 Speciale was first introduced in 2013 and was intended to replace the 430 Scuderia. This option allowed the car to achieve advanced aerodynamics, a much more exclusive interior and, of course, a more powerful V-8 engine. At the time, the Speciale was the fastest Ferrari model ever produced.
However, the model was discontinued in 2015 and the Ferrari 458 was replaced by a 488 GTB. But after the return of the 458, they decided to make this version available first and provide it with many updates. As the pictures have shown, it is essentially a 488 GTB with some custom parts, but it does include some exclusive elements that you can see mainly inside the car.
This version is in fact called the Ferrari 458 MM Speciale and although it is not an exact revival of the brand, it is still a new option based on one already known. We are getting one of the most radical vehicles on the market and this review will reveal it after the car’s release date.
When is the release date for the next Ferrari 458 car?
This new model, which we can call the Ferrari 458 , will be launched later this year. The release date is not yet officially known, but it will be offered sometime in late , which will make the car available for purchase already then or a little later, at the beginning of .
What is the potential price?
Currently, there are no clear indications of how much the Ferrari 458 will cost, but there are some estimates that give us a pretty good idea of how much to spend. This is by no means going to be a cheap car, and if you want one of these babies, you’ll need to spend around €300,000 (Euros) on one of them.
All new style
Although the Ferrari 458 is based on the previous Speciale, there are some elements that are completely new and have been changed for the latest model. Upon closer inspection, you can really see how drastically different these two cars actually are. The front end has a large splitter with narrower intakes that have a carbon fiber trim. There is also a new hood on the front with new vents. The headlights are from the 488 GTB model and the logo in the bumper is larger.
There are also changes in the profile of the car. The side skirts are new and the rear fenders have new air scoops and it helps in the engine cooling of the car. Added to this are the black painted A-pillars which provide all-round styling of the roof, lowering the roofline and giving the car a more aerodynamic styling. The rear is much more similar to the 488 GTB as it has a similar spoiler and the same taillights. The thin mesh grille has been reshaped and mimics the rear air vents. Added to this is a black stripe that runs through the rear part and also through the badge.
The model will ride exclusively on double-spoke wheels and will also feature a Bianco Italia (pearl white) paint finish and a paint job that pays homage to the Italian flag.
Some exclusivity inside
The latest Ferrari 458 will also add some exclusive features inside. We are treated with an upgraded audio system and bespoke trim made to the owner’s request. When you order your car, you can customize it and make any kind of request you think is suitable for your car. Also available is the Cioccolato leather upholstery with white stitching and elegant details such as satin white rings around the center tunnel controls. The interior is the perfect example of what Ferrari offers its buyers and the great craftsmanship they have to offer their customers.
What can we expect under the hood?
Under the hood of the Ferrari 458 is a standard engine that Ferrari has opted for. It is a 4.5-liter V8 engine that was previously used for the Ferrari 488 GTB and also discontinued. Now it is a perfect choice for the new 458 car. The model is therefore expected to produce 596 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 398 pound-feet of torque from 6,000 rpm, and the power will be sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed
In terms of top speed and acceleration, the Ferrari 458 will not be a slow vehicle at all. It will reach 0-100 km per hour in about 3 seconds and offer a top speed of 202 mph.
Fuel consumption specifications
The fuel consumption of the Ferrari 458 has not been determined yet. However, you cannot expect this car to be fuel efficient. It certainly will not be able to consume less than you would expect. It is a type of car that wears its performance on its sleeve, so the amount of fuel it will consume will be enormous.
Dimensions and size
The size of the Ferrari 458 will not change for now. The previous Speciale version formed the basis for the new one, so the MM Speciale simply inherits and transfers the numbers. They decided to keep the same dimensions and it will turn out to be a good deal for the car.
Security settings and features
We probably won’t get the crash test results of the Ferrari 458 anytime soon, or actually, since this is a very expensive car. But they will try their best to make the car as safe as possible. There are no official claims yet and it will be much easier to determine them once the release is complete, but we expect some advanced features that are common for this type of car.
Rival cars
There are many vehicles that come to mind when I mention the Ferrari 458 and its rivals. But the list is actually much shorter when you consider all the variations, luxury , comfort, performance and everything. Thus, the BMW X6 model is one of the modes that could prove to be a decent opponent of this car , but we will see how much this is actually possible. But we also cannot forget the Lamborghini Huracan , which can also compete with this car in terms of price.
