Fiat 500L 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The next model to be revised is the Fiat 500L model. Fiat has not updated its 500 car since its launch in 2007. The subcompact car has not been touched for a long time and did not offer much in terms of style and styling.
Fiat 500L
But finally, they decided to reboot the car a little in 2016. After rebooting one car, a floodgate opened for updates for their other vehicles. The first to be confirmed is the Fiat 500L version.
According to the recently seen spy photos of the car, the version of the Fiat 500L model will receive the same updates as its smaller counterpart. That means updates to the vehicle’s panels and a new color palette. Although all of this is not visible due to the camouflage, much of it can be recognized or even pieced together based on the information currently available.
The updating that was done to the base 500 was done in a way that we give the model a modern feel while still harking back to the original version, resulting in very funky and beautiful styling. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about the 500L model. It’s just not the best looking model you want to see on the road. It looks odd and is disproportionate in some areas. But we can’t argue with that, as that’s not the main reason for the existence of an MVP car.
We have compiled some information about this model that will help you learn more about it, and in this review you can learn all about it before the release date.
The release date for the Fiat 500L
The Fiat 500L model is expected to be launched in late . The model is labeled as a version, but apparently they are not far from finalizing and completing the project. The car will probably be ready for a late year release and the release date will be earlier than any expectations that were placed on it.
Price range for the Fiat 500L
Estimates for the price of the Fiat 500L assume that they will be mostly the same as before. The current offer starts at a base RRP of €19,495 (Euro) and we expect the base Pop version to be priced at €19,995 (Euro). There are also other trim levels, so the Easy will be priced at €21,295 (Euro), the Trekking at €22,380 (Euro), the Urbana at €23,980 (Euro) and the Lounge at €25,295 (Euro).
External transformation of the car
The exterior of the Fiat 500L gets the same treatment as the smaller 500 version. The biggest change that has been made is an updated and larger front fascia. The air dam will be larger and we expect a new mesh layout, while the fog lamps will be integrated into each side, offering a floating styling this way. The grille will be updated a bit and it will be a bit wider and also a bit shorter.
The running lights placed below the headlight get an LED treatment and are smaller compared to before. The headlights are also redesigned and come with LED accents. The side profile is expected to carry over completely unchanged but the rear gets new LED taillights with a completely new layout. The rear fascia is said to get a new styling and gets a new chrome strip for the exhaust.
In the end, they managed to add some additional optional colors and also offer a second skin that allows you to add different accent lines or even full vinyl wraps.
Interior fittings made
The interior of the Fiat 500L will receive some minor updates. These include revised air vents, a slightly revised instrument cluster, and a larger and curvier infotainment display. The seat design will also be slightly changed and there may be some new color options as well. There is a possibility that the HVAC controls will be smaller and the center console will be changed to add new technological additions. The steering wheel is also tilted for an update that will give the interior of the cabin a much more luxurious feel.
Features and accessories carry over from the current model, including air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, six-way power seats and a 60/40 split rear seat. Upper trim levels come with optional vinyl dashboard wraps and a premium audio system.
Powertrain Offers and Specifications
If you were hoping to get some new engine offerings for the Fiat 500L, you’re unfortunately in for a loss. The new model will continue to use a 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder engine, but it will offer a class-leading 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Pop, Easy, Trekking and Urbana trims will come with a C635 six-speed manual transmission, while Easy, Trekking and Urbana trims will come with an optional Aisin six-speed automatic.
What is the acceleration capability from 0 to 100 km per hour?
Since there are no updates to the Fiat 500L’s powertrain, acceleration will not change either. The model is capable of sprinting from a standstill to 100 km per hour in 8 seconds and can also develop a top speed of 126 mph.
EPA Rating and Fuel Economy
The EPA ratings will carry over and the Fiat 500L will have the same rates as before. Except for the Lounge model, all trim levels of the car have an EPA rating of 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The top-rated 500L Lounge trim will get a performance of 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
Safety equipment for the Fiat 500L
The updated Fiat 500L will include the same safety equipment that the car offered before. The model already has a ton of standard safety parts, the continued use of which will benefit the car and its passengers. People who are already familiar with the setup will not take too long to get used to it. Standard parts include headrests, front and knee airbags, seat-mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags. Other standard offerings include hill start assist, electronic roll mitigation and stability control, keyless entry, speed control and an alarm. The standard service kit includes a standard tire pressure monitoring system. For parking, there is a parking assist system and a rear view camera.
Mass
The dimensions are also the same for the Fiat 500L as updating only changes the aesthetics and functionality of the car. The shape and size is completely the same so the car offers a passenger volume of 98.8 cu ft where the headroom is 40.7 and 38.7 inches for the front and rear and shoulder room is 57.3 and 54.6 inches for the front and rear and legroom is 40 and 36.7 inches for the front and rear.
Competitor vehicles
Maybe this segment is not as popular as other hotter ones, but the Fiat 500L will have some competing models to think about once it is released. The first models we have are the Mini Countryman, Kia Soul and Nissan Versa Note which can be potential competitor cars in the segment for the 500L.
