Ford EcoSport 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Ford’s smallest crossover has been around for quite a long time, but the North American version was only introduced a few years ago. Because of this, we’ve seen notable updates every year.

SUV EcoSport

The Ford EcoSport will be no different. We will see some interesting novelties, mainly visual. On the other hand, the cabin and mechanics will remain largely the same.

All of this means you can rely on a familiar design that has been around for years. This small crossover has some strengths, but it also has some drawbacks. When it comes to things we like about this model, they are things like a large cargo area, an advanced infotainment system, and solid handling. On the other hand, this crossover is a bit thirsty, offers a firm ride, and doesn’t accelerate particularly hard. We expect to see it in showrooms in the last quarter of the year.

Redesign

When it comes to basic design features, the Ford EcoSport will definitely not change. This Fiesta-based crossover will continue with the same mechanics and chassis design. The overall exterior design will also remain the same, so you can count on the same dimensions and familiar design.

Still, there are some interesting new features to mention. As you might assume, most of them are styling-related. The lineup includes some new wheels as well as some new color options – Blue and Luxe Yellow.

Another notable update for next year is the addition of the SE Appearance Package. This package includes many interesting details, ranging from new 17-inch wheels, leather steering wheel, unique cloth upholstery, orange accents on the seats and through the SUW cabin.

Inner

When it comes to interiors, there aren’t many changes for the Ford EcoSport. Still, there are a few things worth mentioning. First, the small crossover no longer offers an illuminated glovebox, while the 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat is now standard on SES and Titan models only. On the other hand, the SE model now comes standard with a 4-way manually adjustable seat, while the power adjustability comes with the SE appearance package.

Other than that, the interior of the Ford EcoSport remains largely unchanged. This means you can count on a cabin design that is typical of affordable small crossovers. There are a lot of plastic surfaces, although everything looks well built. The size of the passenger compartment is typical for the class, but you can count on a fairly generous cargo volume. It’s about 21 cubic feet behind the second row and 50 cubic feet of total volume. The thing we don’t like about this cabin is that visibility is poor due to small windows and thick pillars.

Characteristics

Although the Ford EcoSport comes with a reorganization of optional packages, the list of standard and available equipment remains almost unchanged. Base models will come with tech goodies like a 4.2-inch display, six speakers, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and two USB ports. Higher trim levels are far more generous, and you can count on extras like an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, HD radio, navigation, and a seven-speaker audio system.

When it comes to safety features, a rearview camera is the only thing you get in base models. In addition, you get extras like rear parking sensors, fog lights, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and rain-sensing wipers.

Engines

Things under the hood will definitely remain the same. This means you can count on two familiar engine options on offer. The base models will come with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that produces around 123 horsepower. The engine itself works fine, although it definitely lacks the punch for more serious driving. The optional 2.0-liter naturally aspirated unit seems to be a much better option. It works better and is certainly more reliable. Of course, it also offers more power, 166 horsepower. That’s already a decent amount of power for a vehicle like this. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

When it comes to fuel economy, the base engine is significantly more efficient in the city. It returns about 27 mpg, compared to the 23 mpg you’ll get from a naturally aspirated unit. On the other hand, things are pretty similar on the highway, where both engines return about 29 miles per gallon.
