Ford Everest 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The Ford Everest will be improved for the next season. Updates will improve off-road capabilities and practicality. Well, the truck-based SUVs with body on the frame are very popular in Pacific Asia and Australia.
SUV-Everest
So we have a Toyota Fortuner and a Ford Everest as the best examples. Thanks to the rigid platform, these vehicles are very durable. A more aggressive appearance is the highlight of the upcoming SUV. Well, the downside is a price. Buyers pay significantly more than for smaller unibody crossovers.
For YM, Ford will introduce some changes. We already know that the nose will get a chrome grille and the fresh styling of the bumper. However, spy photos do not confirm that updates will spread across the entire Ford Everest. The side and rear of the truck are the same. 20-inch wheels are still there, as well as the same styling of taillights. Trim levels are still unknown, but the Titanium model will be the best equipped in the lineup.
New engine, new transmission
In addition to the cosmetic updates, the new Ford Everest will receive a new powertrain. Well, the SUV is already versatile and offers its buyers some options. The new power source is a 2.0-liter EcoBlue four-cylinder. A turbodiesel engine can produce 215 hp.
It’s not the only update for the Ford Everest. The new combination uses an EcoBlue engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It replaces a 6-speed gearbox and makes for a smoother and more efficient drive. We don’t have exact numbers yet, but the 2.0-liter turbodiesel definitely consumes less fuel than any existing powertrain. We can’t compare it to other vehicles that use the same engine, as the Everest is a pretty big and heavy SUV.
Old drives
The new engine does not replace any powertrains, so we will continue to have various options, including a 2.2-liter unit that is also under the hood of the Ford Ranger Raptor Euro model. With 180 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, we can expect excellent off-road capabilities. Well, the company keeps a 6-speed gearbox as a pair for the old powertrain.
The oldest engine in the lineup is a 3.2-liter Duratorq mill. This one is the most powerful with 200 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque. There are also many differences in the powertrain setups, including different shocks and suspension. Buying the Ford Everest with a new engine will give you a sportier ride and the SUV ready to jump off the road. On the other hand, a Duratorq unit isn’t bad either, but the overall system needs to be upgraded to provide a smoother ride.
What’s new for the Ford Everest?
As we said, the new Ford Everest will be refreshed. This is a mid-cycle refresh since the launch of the current generation in 2015. Moreover, changes to its close sibling Ranger truck lead to updates for the SUV. The new Everest gets a fresh look. Tweaked bumper, chromed three-bar grille and bright headlights are changes worth mentioning. Well, many enthusiasts expected a redesign, but the refresh starts and ends in the nose.
Interior and safety
We believe Ford will refresh the interior of its big rig. With a length of 193 inches, there is plenty of space in the cabin. The standard layout includes five seats, with a seven-seater optional. The off-roader offers enough comfort even in this configuration.
Safety is one of the essential parts. The unibody platform is safer than a body-on-frame architecture, but Everest gets the highest marks in the segment. Well, it’s no coincidence as the SUV is equipped with numerous advanced features including anti-lock braking system with electronically distributed force and stability control.
You can always upgrade your ride with optional packages and features. For example, the first choice you need to make is a 4×2 or 4×4 drive. We recommend the late one if you are an adventurer. A rearview camera is another cool upgrade that will help you park and check surrounding objects.
Price, competitors
The new Ford Everest is the SUV for the Far East. In India, you will find this model as Endeavour. Both Ford vehicles will fight against Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero . All SUVs are built on the same idea – modified trucks for off-road driving. If we convert the prices to USD, we get around €30,000 (Euro). For example, Ford Explorer is a bit more expensive. Toyota 4Runner is more expensive, but also more similar to Everest with BoF architecture. Upgrades can make the SUV with a 4 × 4 and titanium trim level cost almost €50,000 (Euro).
