Ford F-150 2025: First Generation Without Diesel Engine and Modern Design
As the majority of motor watchers already know, truck manufacturers are gradually moving towards diesel engines. This is due to better fuel economy and delivering more torque at the bottom end. Ford has rethought and is bucking this idea by launching its first generation model with its new Ford F-150.
Ford F-150
This will in fact be the first truck in where there will be a truck that does not use a diesel engine. Ford has actually made it clear that efficiency is something that is guaranteed, contrary to what many believe.
Price and release date
This new Ford F-150 is the premiere of its generation, which means that some corrections and additions would be forthcoming. The quality of the materials may have dropped, but the overall look may have risen very well. The base model version costs around € 20,000 (Euro). The availability of this creative model car will be set towards the end of this year ().
engine
As mentioned above, the Ford F-150 will not use a diesel engine for now. The base model version will have a brand new 3.5-liter V6 coupled by variable valve timing as well as an improved intake system. Moreover, it can provide 280 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque with fuel economy averaging 20 to 23 miles per gallon. The new addition that Ford is boasting about is an Eco Boost, a 2.7-liter V6 with 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque, which has almost similar performance compared to other diesel engines but does not have any of the disadvantages of diesel engines.
This in particular can offer an average of 25-26 mpg, which is just cool and hovers in diesel territory. Also offered at launch will be other available engines that will vary from the other engines, a 3.5-liter Ecoboost and a 5-liter V8 engine. At their convenient disposal is a 6-speed automatic transmission that will prove essential for handling the vehicle’s load, but when it comes to speed, there’s nothing cool to talk about. This power will be coupled to either the rear wheels as standard or to the all-wheel drive, which is ultimately an additional cost.
Exterior and interior design
When it comes to the exterior design of this Ford F-150, the exterior appearance has changed dramatically and looks more modern to keep up with the competition. It does a great job of combining the features of a Mustang and a Fusion to match the realities of a modern-looking, sleek car. There is a massive grille on the front and frankly, the headlight shape gives it an appealing, aggressive look that is sought after in the design of the truck.
Inside, Ford has introduced an intelligent driver assistance system for the first time on a pickup truck, which includes both lane assist and lane keeping assist. In case of any miscalculations, there is also a collision mitigation assist system along with an adaptive cruise control system. To clarify, the lane assist feature helps the driver monitor the lane markings on the road using the front camera system. And when you approach a still traffic, adaptive cruise control features are available, which uses the onboard radar to automatically engage the car to reduce speed.
