Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

The Raptor has always been characterized as a heavy-duty bruiser and will retain those characteristics for the upcoming model, and it’s something that defines the tuck’s style and we wouldn’t want it any other way. However, the latest design is updated with so much more, with aluminum bodywork and a beefy high-strength steel frame pairing well with an updated interior. Add in Ford’s new EcoBoost technology and a new engine option, and you get the new model all wrapped up.

Some may say that the Raptor has lost its mojo and that the new version does not contain the soul of a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, but the car needs to move with the times and it is a perfect update for a vehicle like this. As you can see from the pictures, the car does not change drastically from its rugged stance. It has all the characteristics of a great truck and Ford has once again done a great job in updating it. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor exterior

The Raptor sets new standards in exterior design. The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor model takes some parts taken from the 2015 F-150 model and widened them to 6 inches more to increase its stability. Both the front and rear bumpers have been raised so the approach and departure angles are now different. There is also a very useful change in the headlights as the halogen headlights have been swapped for the LED ones and this helps to provide more light than before. There will be a change in wheel size and the car will use the 17-inch ones. It uses BFGoodrich’s latest version of its legendary All-Terrain TA tire, the K02.

The vehicle’s off-road capabilities are greatly improved by the latest design. Not only do some standard features help, but the new tires also contribute to better stability on different types of roads, allowing the car to drive through some of the roughest terrain there is. The side boards will also return this model year and the same fenders will be used this time around as well. At the back, it has more similarities to the current F-150 car, but features a massive “FORD” block lettering that stretches from side to side. What is new, however, is the dual exhaust system, which balances out the look a bit and even adds the standard receiver hitch.

inner space

The addition of an F-150 order form reduces the Raptor’s interior space a bit and combines well to create a great look. The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor model has a very comfortable interior and a reasonable improvement in comfort. The best additions are the unique seats with leather and suede inserts. It also comes with an overhead console with six setup switches and sunroof controls. There is a new steering wheel style that uses the combination of suede and leather steering with F1-style paddle shifters. It also includes carbon fiber accents added to beautify the key areas around the cabin.

In the control cluster you will find the large digital display that is standard in every F-150 car. It is a very useful addition as it shows a lot of information at once and allows the car to fully focus on driving. It gives you stats on your off-road information, engine performance and some mechanical stats. It has also been confirmed that an extended cab and crew cab configuration will be offered for the Raptor.

engine

As for the engine, there are many upgrades available for the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor model. The first upgrade comes in the form of a newly updated 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. This engine has been revved up and is more powerful than the previous 6.2-liter V-8. It has an output of 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque, but the EcoBoost is said to be able to produce more. The V-8 engine has a lot of power but lacks efficiency, so the EcoBoost was chosen to fix this. Therefore, the new engine’s output was tuned to be around 450 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with F1 paddle shifters. Not only does it allow for better fuel economy stats, but it also helps with better shifting capabilities.

This time, some special features are added, such as the “Torque-On-Demand” that distributes power to the front and rear axles with the all-wheel drive system. Added to this is the next-generation Terrain Management System that Ford has introduced here. It allows you to choose between six modes that depend on the terrain you are driving on. So you can choose between Normal, Road, Weather, Mud and Sand, Rock and Baja modes.

Price and release date

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor will of course be released as a model, so the exact release date is unclear, but it will certainly arrive at the end of next year or early . The price has yet to be adjusted, but we are pretty sure it will be a base MSRP of around €51,000 (Euros).
