Ford Galaxy 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The brand is making a comeback with the Ford Galaxy. The Galaxy is the largest MPV that Ford has ever produced and also one of the largest in the market. The popularity of this car has not waned but people are looking for some innovations to be added to the car that has been around for quite some time. Although we are not getting the complete redesign of the car, we can expect a number of changes to be made for the latest Galaxy car.

Ford Galaxy

What they have decided here is to add a little more sharpness to the new car. The handling is much better but it compromises the comfort of the car. The Ford Galaxy is known as one of the best models based on comfort and refinement in the segment but it has never shown superior driving capabilities. Now they are trading in a little comfort so the driving aspects of the car are also taken into account.

When the Ford Galaxy is launched, it will continue to be part of its fourth generation models. The second generation models started with a platform shared with Volkswagen Sharan and SEAT Alhambra, while the third generation switched to a platform previously used for the Ford Mondeo model. The fourth generation models have managed to build on this and offer an even better offering in terms of comfort and usability.

The published images of the car show us that the new Ford Galaxy is heading in the same direction, and the current reviews already confirm that this is also a good model.

Release Date

As expected, we can’t get the Ford Galaxy any earlier than. Some speculations were made about the car launching in mid, but those claims were changed when it was discovered that they need more time to put all these things they want together. So, a release date for is imminent.

Starting price for the vehicle

The official price for the Ford Galaxy has not been set. But the bottom line is that it will be pretty similar to the last range of models. It will continue to be available in Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X trims, with the base trim costing £26,445, the Titanium trim costing £28,595 and the top-of-the-range Titanium X priced at £33,095.

Exterior details

The exterior of the Ford Galaxy is crafted in the same way as its predecessor. Fitting seven people in is not easy, so a boxy shape is inevitable, so the silhouette remains the same. But the changes made to the car are now focused on the front end with a chrome grille with sharper stripes for the badge. The Titanium models will be fitted with LED daytime running lights and will come with silver roof rails, extra silver window trim and tinted rear window. Standard models come with 17-inch wheels while the top trims are offered with 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear adds large taillights and a black outline that blends with the rear windows. The only flaw is that it still offers a single standard colour but the car looks much better and has an upscale feel now.

Interior details and technology

The main focus of the Ford Galaxy’s interior is practicality. However, they manage to make some improvements when it comes to adding comfort specifications and some new technological elements. The model offers enough space for seven people at a time. They have added some better materials so that the comfort remains at a standard level. Some chunky aluminum trim pieces have been added to pair with a combination of great shapes like air vents. The model manages to give an upscale feel and has been updated to give us a great deal.

Engine Choice

Ford has always been known for offering great handling to cars and the Ford Galaxy is also improved in this regard. They now offer a much more comfortable and suitable ride and they give us a couple of engines to choose from. There are two turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engines on offer, a 1.5-litre petrol with 158bhp and a 2.0-litre petrol with 237bhp.

However, it is predicted that the diesel variant with the available 148bhp 2.0 TDCI engine is likely to grab the majority of the sales.

0-62 mph. Specification

Out of the three engines mentioned for the Ford Galaxy, none are slow. They all manage to offer great acceleration deals, with the 1.5 petrol achieving 0-100kph in 10 seconds and the 2.0 version doing it in 8.2 seconds. The diesel variant can accelerate up to 100kph in 10.9 seconds.

What is the fuel economy rating?

Although the Ford Galaxy offers some decent fuel economy figures due to its size, it is still not the most fuel-efficient car in the segment. There are other models you can choose if your main goal is fuel economy, but the new Galaxy can give you a decent setup. The 119bhp 2.0 TDCI Galaxy with manual gearstick returns 56.5mpg and 129g/km, the 148bhp 2.0 TDCI and 178bhp 2.0 2.0 TDCI models with six-speed manual gearbox are limited to 52.3mpg and 139g/km, and the 207bhp TDCi unit offers a rating of 51.4mpg and 144g/km.

Dimensions and size

The size of the Ford Galaxy will not change. We expect the same figures as in the last model. These include an overall length of 4,848mm, a width of 1,916mm and a height of 1,747mm. The car is quite large, there is no doubt about that, and it manages to give its passengers enough clearance to make them feel comfortable when driving in such a model. Boot space is limited to 300 litres as standard, while with the third row down it expands to 1,301 litres or with the second and third rows down to 2,339 litres.

Safety Equipment

The Ford Galaxy is likely to carry over the safety ratings of the latest model. The Euro NCAP agency provided the results last time and the model received a full five-star rating for its crash tests. Will the new model come with the same equipment, which includes airbags, tyre pressure monitors and ISOFIX mounting points in the second row of seats? Adaptive cruise control and an active lane keeping assist feature will be offered as options, while the automatic braking feature can also detect pedestrians and other cars.

Competing Models

Although the Ford Galaxy is the largest MPV in this segment, there are a few other models that can accommodate seven passengers and also offer high levels of comfort to rival this car. The most obvious competitors include the Volkswagen Sharan, Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, Renault Grand Scenic and SEAT Alhambra.
