Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 2025: Updates and details.
We have received some information about the latest Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 car that will be released. This will probably be an update that was already announced but ran a bit late. Originally, this updated version of the GT350 was planned for 2016, but latency pushed it back to be released for another time. Obviously, it’s finally here and in this review we present you the latest updates about this car.
Ford Mustang GT350
Originally, the GT350 was introduced in 1965 when a high-performance Mustang model was released. The combination of the two managed to increase the Mustang model’s original power output from 271 hp to 306 hp. The final product was presented to us in 1966 and appeared in the signature Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes.
The following years saw a number of updates. The model brought some more cosmetic changes for years to come until the 1969 model came out. The model ran for a while and was discontinued at one point but came back stronger than ever with its 2011 release which also marked the introduction of the fifth generation models. It wasn’t until 2015 when the sixth generation Stag came out and showed us that they are still going strong with this brand. The following model is a continuation of the brand as it strives to remain competitive and keep the sixth generation models afloat.
The release date has been changed a few times already and we are finally hoping that will be the time when we can finally see the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 in action again. Based on the currently available photos of the car, we are in for a treat.
When is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 scheduled to be released?
It’s not official yet, but the release date for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is expected to fall between late 2017 and early . The recent problems they’ve had with the design and production of the vehicle have made them miss the deadline a few times already. The final release is expected to be in late 2017 and this model will still be labeled as a model once it hits the streets.
What is the price of the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT350?
The price of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has already been announced. Pre-ordering the car will be available soon, but it will officially go on sale when the release date is announced. The base MSRP rating for the base Mustang GT350 is €49,995 (Euro), while a more track-focused version will cost €63,495 (Euro). You can get it with either a Technology Package or a Track Package.
What will the external changes look like?
The current Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is probably the most aggressive and angriest model ever made. It turns all the dials up to eleven and we are looking at one of the most advanced Mustang cars ever designed. The front end has undergone most of the latest transformation and includes changes to the hood but also makes the car much more aerodynamic and improves the car’s performance immensely.
The updates we’re getting for this redesign will include some new exterior colors. This year, we’re getting options like Ruby Red Metallic to replace Competition Orange, as well as the newly named Lightning Blue and Grabber Blue to replace the Deep Impact Blue that’s being retired. The latter options are throwback colors that were introduced for the first-generation Mustang cars and later offered only for the fifth-generation models.
What are the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 interior changes?
The interior of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will remain the same. The style of the car will be maintained because they decided that they do not need to change the design for this update. The interior will evolve the current equipment and make it better and more comfortable.
Also this year, buyers have the option of two new packages for the interior of the car. The Electronics package offers the use of a SYNC 3, voice-activated navigation and a nine-speaker audio system. The Convenience package, while offering users the same features as before, replaces the manual Recaro seats with leather-trimmed power sport seats.
Powertrain Capability and Options
Arguably the most dramatic change for the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is that the 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 used for the Mustang GT has been discontinued. The replacement engine coming here is the 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V-8, which is a legitimate race engine model. This is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine developed, and it can produce 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This year also introduces a track package, which will be offered as a standard option this year.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 0-62 mph per hour acceleration and top speed
We know that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will be the fastest naturally aspirated muscle car and coupe model. This will be brought about by the updates made to the engine that will help it reach the 0-100 km per hour mark in just 3.5 seconds and also reach a top speed of 186 mph.
Expectations regarding fuel consumption
Don’t expect the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 to be a particularly economical car. Estimated fuel economy is 14 MPG city drive, 21 MPG highway, and a combined effort of 15 MPG. Not particularly economical, but that’s the price you pay for good performance.
Will the dimensions remain the same?
Since the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 model is just a refresh for the sixth generation model, there will be no changes on the outside of the vehicle. This means that only aesthetic and stylistic changes will be made and no dimensional additions. The car will still maintain its length of 188.9 inches and a wheelbase of 107.1 inches. The height is 53.6 inches and the width is 75.9 inches. The interior volume is not so favorable and it remains the same, giving us a space of 52 cu ft and a cargo space of only 14 cu ft. The weight of the car might change a bit, but not in a significant way.
What are the safety ratings?
The latest Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will come with all the necessary safety equipment. Besides the updated stability control and traction control, the car will come with the same elements that it had before. Certain updates will be made, but the bottom line is that you can be sure that you will feel safe while driving this car.
Competing models
Many of the performance-oriented vehicles will debut at the same time as the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. However, this does not mean that the car will fall under the mercy of the pitted models. The closest and probably first rival that the Stag has ever gotten is the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and the same goes for the new generations of the upcoming models. We can add the Dodge Challenger into the mix and it offers considerable performance, especially with its Hellcat SRT version.
