Ford Ranchero 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The all-new Ford Ranchero is a model that will replace the Courier pickup truck. The Courier version is exclusive to South America. However, Ranchero will be available for sale in both South and North America. This already says a lot about the new Ranchero. The Courier model was too small to make an impact in Europe. As for the Ranchero, this pickup will be based on the Ford Focus model.

On the other hand, the current Courier is based on the Fiesta. The new Ford Ranchero will ride on the extended architecture and offer a crew cab configuration. We doubt you remember the original Ranchero from the late ’50s, but the new model won’t come close to it. Previously, Ranchero was a unibody pickup truck that competed with Chevy El Camino.

design

Currently, we don’t know what the new Ford Ranchero will look like. Some renderings are available, but rendering images are not that reliable. However, the rendered Ranchero carries the same design as the Ford Focus. The pickup variant features more ground clearance and a cargo bed. Interestingly, Ranchero will offer two wheelbases and the crew cab configuration is definitely underway.

As we said, the Ranchero pickup will ride on the same architecture as the Focus car. However, the Ranchero pickup will get an expanded platform and the new model is larger than the Courier pickup . More details will be available in the coming weeks.

Interior based on the Escape Crossover

The interior of the new Ford Ranchero will be closer to the Escape crossover. However, don’t expect such a premium cabin, as the Ranchero model is an affordable pickup truck. The goal is to deliver a practical and spacious cabin. Of course, the upper trim levels will get a more premium look and better comfort. For the base trim, we expect a lot of cheap plastics and regular cloth upholstery.
A 7-inch touchscreen will be offered as standard, and this pickup will get a new version of the SYNC3 infotainment. The Escape crossover offers a lot of wood trim and chrome accents. This is not the case with the Ranchero pickup, but we expect a solid level of comfort and space for five passengers.

Engine speculation

Under the hood, the new Ford Ranchero will likely use smaller EcoBoost engines. Initially, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost will be offered as standard. In addition, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo will be available as an option. This is not official, but these two engines are perfect candidates at the moment. One thing is for sure, Ford will not develop a new powertrain.

A 2.3-liter is another possibility and this engine is available in the Focus RS model. According to the latest reports, Blue Oval will offer standard and optional engines. In addition, the third engine will be a turbocharged unit that will power the high-performance Ranchero variant. Diesel is another likely outcome for this pickup, but a hybrid powertrain is not in the cards.
