GENESIS GV60 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Genesis has revealed the interior and exterior of its first electric vehicle on a dedicated EV platform. The GENESIS GV60 shares its E-GMP architecture with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The GV60 will be launched locally in the first half of , along with two other Genesis-branded electric vehicles. Genesis’ now clearly defined design elements, such as the comb-shaped grille and two-stage quad-lamp lighting, are present, but the GV60 has a distinctive visual identity.
GENESIS GV60
Like the Ioniq 5 and EV6, its styling somewhat blurs the line between car and crossover, although the GV60 is more rounded. Up front, the comb-shaped grille has been flattened and positioned lower than on other Genesis products, and is framed by angular air intakes. The grille is not enclosed, and Genesis says the large opening is intended to increase the cooling efficiency of the GV60’s batteries. A sleeker logo, inspired by luxury watches, sits atop a clamshell hood.
Design
The rear is steeply sloped but has a rounded appearance overall. While the GV70’s rear is also quite rounded, the GV60 looks completely different with uniquely shaped taillights and quirky C/D pillars.
The GV60 also introduces Genesis’ first digital side mirrors and flush-mounted power door handles that open as you approach your car .
Walking inside, you’ll see a large interior with a large digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen in an array, as well as a display for each of the digital mirrors at either end of the dashboard.
The capacitive touchscreen climate controls and hardware buttons for infotainment shortcuts are grouped in a clear capsule below the touchscreen and air vents.
Inner
The crystal ball is not an artifact from the Indiana Jones movie, but a gearshift lever. It lights up when the car is off, then rotates when you turn the car on to reveal the gearshift levers.
It sits on the bridge-raised center console and also contains a pair of large cupholders, controls for features like heated and ventilated seats, and a stylish metal-knurled infotainment controller from Genesis.
Genesis is one of the most adventurous luxury brands when it comes to interior colors, offering green and blue interiors for many cars, among others. The presented GV60 has a blue interior with contrast stitching in light green.
Under the structure of the model name, Genesis claims that the lower the number, the greater the athleticism.
Therefore, he promises that the GV60 will be the brand’s sportiest model to date.
battery
The GENESIS GV60 comes standard with a 58kWh battery and a 125kW electric motor and 350Nm of torque, which helps it accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds.
The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive model boosts that output to 173kW and 605Nm, while acceleration from 100km/h drops to i30 N, which is 6.1 seconds. Opt for the longer-range 72.6kWh model and you’ll get 160kW and 350Nm on two-wheel-drive models and a serious 225kW and 605Nm on the dual-motor configuration. The latter does 0-100km/h in 5.1 seconds.
An even more powerful model can be found in the Kia EV6 range.
The flagship all-wheel drive model uses a 77.4 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 430 kW of power, 740 Nm of torque and a 0-62 mph time of just 3.5 seconds.
To put the power to the ground, the EV6 GT adds an electronic limited-slip differential.
Maximum range (in the long-range single-motor Ioniq 5) is 480 km on the WLTP test cycle, while the same configuration in the EV6 gives 510 km.
