GMC Acadia 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The current generation of GMC’s midsize crossover has been around since 2017. Although it is relatively fresh, it has already been redesigned for the model year. GM management was simply not satisfied with the outcome of this model, so the changes were timely and quite numerous.
SUV GMC Acadia
Nowadays, everything looks much better and that’s why we believe that the current model will remain in production for several more years without any major changes. The GMC Acadia should be a typical carryover model and the best we could see is minor updates in terms of new features, color options and similar things.
The overall layout will certainly remain the same, which means you can count on a crossover that offers a lot of good things. It is spacious and comfortable, while the engine offering is pretty good. Fuel economy is also at a pretty high level, while the infotainment system is easy to use. We expect to see GMC Acadia sometime by the end of the year.
GMC Acadia redesign
As mentioned, the GMC Acadia is a typical carryover model. You can count on a fairly familiar design based on the well-known C1 platform. What we like about this model is that it is not too ambitious in terms of handling and sporty driving, but puts all its resources on comfort. This makes the ride really smooth and perfect for longer trips.
In terms of styling, the GMC Acadia will continue with all the updates released two years ago. This means a bold looking front end that takes heavy inspiration from GMC pickups like the Sierra and Canyon. Of course, there’s always the chance of seeing minor updates like new color options. Models like the Denali and AT4 will continue their exclusive features and aesthetics.
Inner
If you are rational enough, you will have no complaints about this interior. Yes, it may contain a bit of hard plastic, but the overall quality is actually very good. Additionally, the dashboard looks attractive, while the infotainment system is intuitive and very easy to use. In addition, we like that the driving position is high and offers good visibility in all directions.
When it comes to interior space, the first two rows are very generous. They can accommodate adults with ease, while we particularly like the front seats, which are substantial and supportive. On the other hand, the third row is tight, but that’s typical for the segment. Adults can use it on shorter trips, while children will have enough space on any occasion.
Cargo space offers 12.8 cubic feet behind the third row, 41.7 cubic feet behind the second, and 79 cubic feet with both rows folded. We can say that’s decent for the class.
Characteristics
New features in this regard are always possible, but we’re pretty sure the GMC Acadia will remain largely the same as the current model. This means the list of standard features should include extras like an 8-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, five USB ports, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. This is also likely the only model in this class that comes standard with three-zone automatic climate control. In addition, you get extras like wireless device charging, navigation, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, HD radio, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
When it comes to safety, all models come standard with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, rear seat reminder, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring with lane change warning. Some of the highlights include a head-up display, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, rear camera mirror, surround view parking camera system, front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, etc.
GMC Acadia Engines
We expect GMC Acadia to come with three familiar engine options on offer. Base models should use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes around 193 horsepower. It’s not much fun with that engine under the hood, but it gets the job done. The optional 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder makes around 230 horsepower and offers much better driving dynamics thanks to much more torque. The best choice, however, would definitely be a familiar 3.6-liter V6. With its 310 horsepower, it seems to be a perfect measure for this three-row crossover. All three engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission that does a pretty good job.
GMC Acadia Release Date and Price
Considering that there will be no major changes, we are pretty sure that the GMC Acadia will not be launched before the last quarter of the year. When it comes to price, base models should cost around €30,000 (Euros). The competition in this segment is tough and some of the potential rivals are models like Nissan Pathfinder, Kia Telluride, VW Atlas.
