GMC Sierra 3500HD 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The new GMC Sierra 3500HD will arrive later this year with mid-cycle refreshes. It’s a reliable heavy-duty pickup truck and certainly one of the best options in the segment. Rumors of a redesign were false and the new Sierra will introduce minor updates. Some improvements will come as GM plans to update every aspect of the vehicle.

For example, Sierra will receive cues similar to the Chevy Silverado pickup. In addition, General Motors will update the cabin of its pickup line. This includes Sierra 3500HD. Nevertheless, this model will continue to run on the same platform and there will be no significant changes. Customers can also expect more safety aids.

Upgrade

As we said, the GMC Sierra 3500HD will not change that much in terms of design. On the other hand, small changes are coming. First of all, Sierra’s dimensions, shape and ruggedness will remain. In addition, Sierra looks very stylish for a heavy-duty pickup, which is great. Some parts are SUV-like, others bring Sierra closer to the Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup . The body is now more similar, and even the front fascia is slightly different.

The grille seems to be enlarged and the headlights are made in a different shape. Remember that these changes are barely visible, we are talking about nothing significant. Sierra offers a new Corner Step feature, which should be optional in the base trim. Speaking of which, the entry-level model comes with standard 18-inch wheels. Denali trim is the top-of-the-line model that looks more premium and adds nothing but luxury.

High comfort

The cabin of the GMC Sierra 3500HD will receive some important updates. The interior will look more upright and modern. In addition, Sierra will maintain a high level of comfort. This means that GM will not bother with new upholstery or improving the luxury inside. Instead, the manufacturer will focus on technology. In fact, Sierra 3500HD will receive more chrome accents around the dashboard. The cabin will remain as practical as before.

However, new high-tech features improve the functionality of the interior. Even the basic equipment becomes more standard. In addition, all trim levels should largely benefit from the latest updates. New driver assistance features are also available, but most of these aids are optional. If that’s not good enough for you, the Denali trim level is where the real luxury starts.

Drivetrain

The upcoming GMC Sierra 3500HD will continue its journey with the same engine lineup as its predecessor. This is a surprise as both Ford and Ram are improving the performance of their heavy-duty trucks. However, Sierra continues with its 6.0-liter gasoline engine with 300 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque.

The same engine is available in different figures and this engine delivers 360 horses and 380 lb-ft of twisting power. However, the most popular option is a turbodiesel powertrain. A 6.6-liter Duramax can produce 445 horsepower and up to 910 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this, Sierra 3500HD can tow up to 24,000 pounds. This heavy-duty model is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Price and release date

The price of the GMC Sierra 3500HD should start at €37,500. This means that the price will remain the same, but the range-topping Denali trim will cost over €60,000.

Sierra will go on sale along with the rest of GM’s high-performance lineup, most likely in the last quarter of the year.
