Honda CR-V 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Despite being around since 2016, the current generation of Honda’s compact crossover is still one of the best models in the class and still boasts impressive sales figures. Of course, Honda wants to maintain this position and that’s why the Honda CR-V will be redesigned.

The test model has been spotted and we expect the new generation to hit the market either at the end of this year or in the first half of . In any case, there is no doubt that the new model will be even better.

Considering that the current model is still amazing and that this is one of the most important models for Honda, there is no doubt that Japanese engineers will not experiment too much with the new model. We expect more evolutionary changes, while the things that are currently considered disadvantages will be in focus to improve.

Honda CR-V redesign

As mentioned, the upcoming redesign is unlikely to bring radical changes. The new Honda CR-V will stick to the tried and tested recipe, so the mechanical aspect should remain largely the same. Nevertheless, minor changes should be made in terms of the chassis to provide an even better driving experience.

The test mule has already been spotted on the road and despite the camouflage, we can already see some interesting things. The first relates to the overall shape, which is slightly different from the outgoing version. Despite the camouflage, we clearly see a slightly different shape with a longer hood. The rear overhang also appears a little longer, which clearly indicates that the Honda CR-V could get bigger. Some sources suggest that Honda is testing a three-row version.

styling

When it comes to styling, it’s still early to talk about details considering the camouflage. Nevertheless, as mentioned, we can see a slightly different overall shape that should offer a bit more upscale styling. On the other hand, the picture of the front end is still unclear. From what we’ve heard, the new model will take a lot of inspiration from the Accord , so we may see similarly designed headlights and grille. Take all this with a reserve.

Inner

The current model looks pretty good on the inside, but it looks like Honda engineers want to make it look even better. From what we know so far, the Honda CR-V will most likely feature a dashboard quite similar to that of the upcoming Civic. This means a more upscale shape, while we’re also betting on finer materials and more tech extras.

Speaking of tech goodies, one of the highlights in the interior will certainly be a new infotainment screen. It will come with a large diameter and a tablet-like layout. We hope it will be more intuitive than the current one, which is probably the weakest point of the outgoing generation.

We have no doubt that the new model will continue to offer impressive amounts of space. The current generation is already one of the most spacious models in the class. Both rows are very generous with space, so we expect nothing less from the new one. A three-row version also seems to be a certain thing. This variant will likely come with a stretched wheelbase and should only be offered in certain markets, including North America.

Cargo space should also offer some of the class-leading numbers. The current model is already quite impressive in this regard, offering around 39.2 cubic feet behind the second row and 75.8 cubic feet of total cargo space.

Honda CR-V Engines

The Honda CR-V will most likely not feature any major changes under the hood. The base model is expected to continue with the same 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder that produces around 190 horsepower and is paired with a CVT transmission. This setup offers impressive driving dynamics while at the same time fuel economy is very good.

Of course, the new generation will also be offered in a hybrid version. We expect the setup to be quite similar to the current model, which combines electric motors and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for a total output of 212 hp. We assume that the new version of the powertrain could offer more power, better fuel economy, etc.

Honda CR-V Release Date and Price

As mentioned earlier, the Honda CR-V should be launched either in late or in the first half of next year. The current model starts at around €26,000 (Euros) and we don’t expect the new model to cost much more. Some of the main competitors are models like Toyota RAV4 , Nissan Rogue , Subaru Forester SUV .
