Honda Crosstour Comeback 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

If we can trust the latest reports, the Crosstour is coming back. Not long ago, Honda tried Subaru’s well-known formula of a crossover/station wagon. This model is based on the Accord and features a typical wagon body combined with increased ground clearance. Unfortunately, sales were not so good and this model never managed to catch up with the Outback. Soon after, this crossover was discontinued. After several years of hiatus, it looks like Honda will give it another try. The new model would come as Honda Crosstour Comeback .

Crosstour comeback

At this point, this is nothing more than a rumor, so it’s difficult to talk about more specific details. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate about the possible model, which would once again take on the Outback, as well as a more luxurious Audi Allroad Quattro model. We expect Honda to stick to the original design philosophy, but also expect big improvements in certain aspects compared to the original.

Redesign

When it comes to basic design features, the first thing that comes to mind is the platform. We assume that the Honda Crosstour Comeback would also be based on the Accord. It would feature the same mechanics, which means a FWD layout compared to Subaru’s legendary AWD system. Of course, the new Crosstour would also be available with such a layout, but there is no need to talk about how superior Subaru’s powertrain is.

Therefore, Honda needs to focus on other things. Given the Accord ‘s driving characteristics , there’s no doubt that the Honda Crosstour Comeback can offer better driving dynamics and handling, as well as higher levels of comfort. Add to that a decent ground clearance and a solid interior, and you get a pretty serious contender.

Design

In terms of exterior design, we expect the wheelbase to be the same as the Accord. Of course, the new model would come in a wagon body, which means it will probably be a bit longer. Of course, there will also be a significantly higher ground clearance, which in practice means a typical crossover appearance. In terms of styling, the new model should be very similar to the famous sedan. This particularly refers to the front end, which should be almost identical.

The rear was the weakest point of the original. It features shapes that neither look good nor make things very practical. For this reason, we believe that the new Honda Crosstour Comeback would be more comfortable in this regard. We bet on relatively conservative styling solutions that provide more interior space and improve overall practicality.

Inner

Inside, we don’t expect any particular differences from the Accord, at least in terms of dashboard design. The Accord’s dash just looks modern and offers pretty solid overall quality. Additionally, the number of advanced tech goodies is pretty impressive, making everything look high-tech and opulent.

The first row should also remain similar, although a slightly higher driving position is certainly possible. The second row will certainly offer more headroom due to the car’s body style. The biggest improvement, however, will come in terms of cargo space. We expect numbers that would be competitive with the Outback, which has around 32.5 cubic feet behind the second row and over 75 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

Of course, the new Honda Crosstour Comeback should come with plenty of standard features, especially when it comes to safety and tech extras. We expect the Honda Sensing Suite to be standard, as well as a large number of high-tech extras.

Honda Crosstour Comeback engine

When it comes to the powertrain, we’re not sure about the Accord’s 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder. It’s a good engine, but we assume Honda probably wants to go all out with a more powerful 2.0-liter engine that’s standard on all models. That engine delivers 252 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque, but feels even more powerful. The Accord literally flies with that engine, so we have no doubt that the Honda Crosstour would also have amazing driving dynamics. Power would be sent to the front wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission, while AWD models would also be available.

We believe there would be a great chance of seeing a hybrid version on offer as well. This would of course be the Accord’s familiar system, based on a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a combined output of 212 horsepower.

Honda Crosstour Comeback Release Date and Price

The Honda Crosstour comeback is just a rumor at the moment, and although some sources suggest it could arrive as early as next year, officials are still quiet. If it does come back one day, we assume the base price would be around €30,000 (Euros).
