Honda Passport SUV 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The revived SUV has been around for a while and the Honda Passport SUV will mark the fourth year of production. However, it looks like we won’t see any major updates on this occasion. The company seems to be busy with the new Civic and CR-V .
SUV Passport
Also, the new pilot should be coming soon, so we assume that will have to wait its turn. All in all, minor updates in terms of new standard features are the best we could see. Anything else would be a surprise.
All this means you can count on a familiar design. This crossover has a lot of great things going for it. We like how it drives, as well as its excellent V6 engine, which is powerful and refined. Also, this SUV offers plenty of passenger space and an impressive cargo area. However, this does not mean that this model is without flaws. We do not like the infotainment system, which is quite complicated to use. Also, the starting price is a bit high compared to rivals.
Given that there are no major changes coming, we expect the Honda Passport to arrive sometime later this year.
Honda Passport SUV redesign
As mentioned, no major changes are expected for next year, so the Honda Passport will continue with the same overall design that has a lot in common with Pilot. The two SUVs share a platform and most of the mechanics, although we have to say this one works a little better.
Visually, the Passport comes with a slightly different grille design, while the rest of the face is pretty much the same. We expect next year could bring one or two new color options, but anything else would be a surprise. The current form should remain active for a few more years.
Inner
When it comes to interior design, it’s hard to find too many complaints about this SUV. Yes, we mentioned the infotainment system, which isn’t particularly advanced and requires a learning curve. If you can live with that, there’s really no weak spot in the pass. The overall quality is pretty good, while the dashboard looks attractive. More importantly, there’s plenty of space for passengers in both rows.
We also like the driving position. It allows for excellent visibility in all directions while maintaining a sporty feel. The seats are also quite comfortable. However, the best thing about this cabin is definitely the cargo space. You can expect up to 50.5 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 100.8 cubic feet of total cargo volume. That’s more compared to two-row competitors and also more than most three-row crossovers.
Characteristics
With annual updates, there’s always a chance of seeing some additions in terms of standard equipment, but we expect most things to stay the same. The current model comes standard with extras like tri-zone climate control, remote start, 8-inch touchscreen, seven-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, USB port, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also count the standard Honda Sensing package, which includes safety features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and a road departure mitigation system.
Some additions are likely to come and they are currently on the options list. The current list of available features includes navigation, a 10-speaker stereo, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, two additional USB ports, wireless device charging, and a 115-volt household power outlet. Additionally, there are additional safety precautions such as front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Honda Passport SUV Engine
Under the hood, the Honda Passport will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter V6. This engine produces around 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and offers pretty good driving dynamics. More importantly, the engine feels extremely refined and is a real joy to drive. In addition, there is a nine-speed automatic transmission that also does a good job.
When it comes to fuel economy, you can count on 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. These are fairly typical ratings for the segment. Of course, AWD models are a bit thirstier. In this case, fuel economy drops by 1 mpg both in the city and on the highway.
Honda Passport SUV Release Date and Price
Considering that there will be no major changes, we expect the Honda Passport to be launched sometime in the last quarter of the year. When it comes to price, base models should cost around €33,000 (Euros). Main competitors are models like Ford Edge , Chevrolet Blazer , Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.
