Design

With the debut of the Hyundai Equus in 2010, the car presented some groundbreaking points that were an impossible feat for the competition. The car represented a massive breakthrough in terms of luxury and size and was something that people were amazed by immediately upon release. However, it was actually a step back in the design characteristics of the car. Well, they built up to a point where this could be changed as it was something that affected this car and didn’t allow it to become even bigger than it should be.

The new model will take a more aggressive stance and will be a massively updated and redesigned vehicle. The car will take on some of the characteristics of a Genesis sedan car and in this way will be more aggressive and visceral. As seen so far, the new Equus will have a more upright grille design and some horizontal LED headlights. The rear part of the car will include the new vertical taillights, similar to those found in the Mercedes S-Class, as well as multi-spoke wheels and integrated exhaust outlets that will add more style to the car. It will have a squared off roofline that will leave the car with a profile similar to a Camry vehicle.

The interior is the part that has been discussed so far. However, since it will be a release, there is still time to get familiar with the interior layout of the upcoming Hyundai Equus vehicle. What we do know is that the car will use the same styling points seen in the Genesis sedan and the next-generation Sonata cars. High-strength steel and lightweight aluminum will be used, which will increase the rigidity of the car while making the car smoother and quieter. They will not disappoint when it comes to the luxury of the cabin, and we also expect a completely technologically enhanced interior to happen. Let’s wait a bit more to see what Hyundai will announce about the inclusion of the interior.

engine

The history of Hyundai Equus vehicles launched in the US market so far is that they have all used the same powertrain so far, the 5.0-liter V-8, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. Not to say it’s a bad engine setup, but it’s perhaps one of the flaws as they haven’t managed to introduce another engine option while it seems like fans are really enjoying it. However, it seems that the model may fix this issue and introduce a new engine option. All vehicles are set to use the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 as well as the HTRAC all-wheel drive system. There is even some talk of upgrading the current engine and improving fuel economy.

The car already looks like it is close to completion, so it will not take too long to fully develop. The current price of the Equus is around €60,000 (Euro), and those who could afford to buy the previous one will surely opt for the new one when it is released. We expect the figure to rise to no more than €70,000 (Euro) this time for the Hyundai Equus.
