Hyundai Nexo 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

The speed of changes presented by Hyundai makes this automaker a serious competitor in all segments of the automotive industry. Even the crowded class, crossover and SUV, cannot do without Korean models. Recently we saw premieres of the large Palisade and the premium Genesis GV80 . In addition, Kona is an electric vehicle, while the Hyundai Nexo will be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. This release makes the range of this manufacturer one of the most colorful with many different options.

SUV Nexo

Nexo replaced Tucson FCEV. After five years in production, Hyundai decided to launch the new version with different design and more efficient powertrain. The crossover SUV arrived in 2018. The Hyundai Nexo could bring significant improvements as it is time for the mid-cycle refresh. This type of powertrain is still futuristic. We have seen some attempts by other companies to bring concepts into production, but Hyundai is one step ahead of everyone. Nexo will dominate the market in .

styling

The Hyundai Nexo will retain its dimensions. The SUV is 183 cm long, which is 7 cm more than the Tucson. The spacious vehicle offers a lot of space, we could even say more than the Santa Fe. The battery is located under the seats, while the trunk is empty and ready to take the load. The popular name for it is Frunk (front trunk). Nexo is already a good-looking SUV based on Tucson. The refresh will change the front fascia. The headlights are narrow and aggressive and we can’t wait to see what designers have in mind. The refresh will also take place at the rear of the vehicle.

This design gives the Hyundai Nexo many advantages. Extra space inside is used for more features. On the other hand, the powertrain is strong enough to keep the driving pleasure at the highest level. Also, the SUV is not too big, so agility is another advantage of the Nexo.

Interior, equipment, equipment variants

The Hyundai Nexo will bring serious technology with the redesign. Still, the highlight features will be carried over. For example, we can expect heated seats and mobile phone charger even in the entry-level version. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available. Navigation shows the way on a 12-inch screen. The SUV offers self-parking sensors and cruise control. You can upgrade the Nexo with the auto-park function, blind spot monitor or sunroof. The highlight of the exterior is the 19-inch wheel set.

Technical data

The simplest explanation – the Hyundai Nexo is an electric vehicle. However, it is also similar to hybrid and PHEV configurations. However, the powertrain does not consume electricity or gasoline / diesel. Compressed hydrogen takes less time to refill than the electric unit. You pour it like the standard fuel, but it does not emit gases. Fully charged, the tank can hold juice for up to 380 miles on the road. If you select the Limited package, the SUV will consume more fuel and return 354 miles. The fuel cell also produces 160 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque, while the available drive modes are Comfort, Eco, and Eco Plus. Of course, the first one will not get the best mileage. Plus, the possible arrival of all-wheel drive could affect the range even more. Currently, only the FWD is available for the Nexo. Currently, there are two trim levels for this SUV. The vase version is Blue. If you want to build up your SUV, you can choose the Limited version. The upcoming vehicle will update the lineup.

Advantages and disadvantages

The Hyundai Nexo Fuel Cell SUV is a type of all-electric vehicle. This model is zero-emission, which is what makes it so special. The range is also exceptional, as you can travel from LA to San Francisco on a single charge. The bad thing is the SUV’s availability. You will only find it at dealerships in California. It’s not wise to buy it if you don’t live here – there are no gas stations elsewhere, and you’ll find a map with only 44 of them in the Sunshine State. Back to the good things – you don’t pay for hydrogen for the first three years. In addition, the automaker offers three years of maintenance that you don’t pay for. The starting price of the Nexo SUV is just under €60,000 (Euros), which is significantly more than similar hybrid and PHEV models.

Hyundai Nexo Prices

The base price of the entry-level model is already high. After designing, the automaker will increase the MSRP, which will exceed €60,000 next season. Higher trim levels will add features worth around €5,000. We are still waiting for a package update and it is likely that Blue and Limited will be replaced by some other packages for the Hyundai Nexo.
