Infiniti Q50 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Infiniti has a reputation for offering numerous technologies and features on all models that bear the nameplate, and this remains the case in , with the latest Infiniti Q50 continuing its automaker’s long-standing behavior.
It is one of the better options you can have in the luxury sedan segment, but a closer evaluation of its hybrid counterpart proves otherwise in many ways, and buyers are advised to be cautious when shopping. The release date should be expected in early .
On one hand, the new Infiniti Q50 is one of the highest-rated sedans in its segment, but on the other hand, it seems to be surrounded by controversy. Let us explain. The conventionally powered Infiniti Q50 3.7L petrol engine is as good as it looks, offers impressive road manners, packs plenty of bells and whistles, delivers sporty handling and is suitable for daily commuting, thus achieving an undisputed “A” rating.
The Infiniti Q50 Hybrid, on the other hand, gets a “D,” due in part to the poorly executed hybrid powertrain and so on. The main difference here is purely in how the two drive, not how their exterior designs look or how their interiors have been trimmed. The Q50 Hybrid in particular suffers from inconsistent braking and acceleration, due in part to the optional direct adaptive steering system that eliminates the physical connection between the front wheels and the steering wheel.
This results in a lack of feedback and a worrying lag in response. Other weaknesses that stifle the hybrid sales are poor ride quality and limited boot space. Even so, it is our prerogative to recommend the better and slam the other. The better here is the conventional petrol-powered Q50 and the latter is the Q50 Hybrid.
Competitors include the Acura NSX Type S , the Mercedes-Benz C-Class , the BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 .

Engine specifications and fuel consumption
Motivating the Infiniti Q50 is a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 328 horsepower and 269 lb. ft. of torque. The only transmission system offered is a seven-speed. Buyers have the option of specifying either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour with the front-wheel drive Q50 Premium trim requires 5.5 seconds – a fast time for the segment.
The 3.5-liter V6 engine, paired with an electronic motor that draws its power from a lithium-ion battery, offers more liveliness. The result of this combination is an output of 360 hp.
The fuel economy numbers are still being worked on, but we expect the EPA to release them months before the release date.
Release date and price
Q50 Hybrid pricing is expected to start at a base MSRP of $ 44,400 and $37,150 for the Q50 sedan . They should go on sale sometime in early .
