Infiniti QX50 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.

Infiniti plans to launch the second-generation Infiniti QX50 model, which is expected to address some factors that the car lacked in its current generation. Although the current car is praised for its spaciousness and comfort while offering an expanded range of standard equipment, there are some flaws that the car has been criticized for.

The car has often been considered outdated while also being as expensive as some Mercedes -Benz and BMW cars . That’s about to change. The original first-generation model was launched in 2007. It was the company’s first crossover vehicle and was initially called an EV.

The name was retained until 2013, and under the new name, sales in America also began. The styling that the car received in 2016 added extra legroom for the rear seats, but did not address the problem with the car’s style.

The new Infiniti QX50 was already unveiled for the first time at the Detroit Auto Show as a concept car and was also the debut of the Sport Inspiration design style that the QX50 will use. This style was released in 2016 and this will be one of the leading vehicles to use it. But with the new style, the QX50 also offers new technology and some parts that are used for the first time on this car. One of them is the first semi-autonomous driving system.

The images circling the net revealed a good looking car, and it seems that the second generation model is set to do what they suggested. However, we still don’t have the exact release date and will mostly work with estimates until the release is confirmed. Here is our review and the current situation with the new Infiniti QX50.

When is the Infiniti QX50 release date?

Current estimates suggest that the Infiniti QX50 will make its debut by the end of the year. They predict that it will go on sale by the end of the year, but a more appropriate release date is still the model year. It will certainly make its debut in America then. For the 2019 Infiniti QX50 release date , check out our recent review.

What prices can we expect?

What we can expect for the Infiniti QX50 is a slight price increase. Although the car has been criticized for being a bit expensive, they still haven’t managed to bring it down. The luxury brand will include a number of features that make it a good looking model and we are bound to get some pretty new ones and with it the price. For starters, a price of around €36,000 (Euros) is expected.

Exterior design and details

It seems that the Infiniti QX50 will be closely related to the design that debuted in 2016. It is a model that is closely related to the design of the concept and follows the cues from there. In fact, people describe it as an evolution of the QX Sport Inspiration of the language design. The front end carries over most of the details of the concept, such as the grille, headlights, hood and vertical intakes in the corners. The bumper received revised air vents and LED fog lights are newly added.

The side of the QX50 shows a toned down look. There are no side cameras on this model and instead some side mirrors have been added. The side skirts look the same as usual and are not for anything extreme. The rear retains the same tailgate and taillight design. The only difference is the air vents that are placed on either side of the fascia. The roof spoiler is just a little bigger and the license plate cutout has a trapezoidal shape. The Sport Inspiration styling also helps the car to have an SUV-like design.

Interior changes and design

While the exterior copied the Sport Inspiration look, much of the interior of the Infiniti QX50 will not. The idea looked too futuristic to be safely translated to a production vehicle, so they went with a more production-friendly option this time around.

In fact, we achieve a standard level of luxury inside with a two-tone dashboard, a flanked display surrounded on the sides by two A/C vents and a regular center stack. In the instrument cluster, there is a large screen within the gauges.

The seats have also been redesigned and toned down. The flat-bottomed steering wheel in the concept is also replaced with a regular one. The cabin also offers the choice of brown colors, white or even a light blue ghost, which makes it very tasteful and gives us a nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Engines

The powertrain is the biggest news for the upcoming Infiniti QX50. This is where most of the changes have occurred for the upcoming vehicle, and it adds Infiniti’s new variable compression technology called VC-Turbo. It’s designed to combine the power of 2.0-liter turbo gasoline and the efficiency of a diesel engine. But to put everything in perspective, the engine chosen is the 3.7-liter V-6 with 325 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.

0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed

It seems that with the new type of engine, the ability of the Infiniti QX50 will also change. This means that we will get a performance that improves the 5.7 seconds while the old model had to reach 0-62 mph per hour. The top speed will be similar to the current 145 mph, but the acceleration will be much easier and better.

What will the fuel consumption be?

We’re also hoping to see improvements in the Infiniti QX50’s fuel economy. The outgoing model can measure up to 24 mpg city and 17 mpg highway. But with the additional improvements made with the VC-Turbo addition, we’re likely looking at EPA ratings that will go up to 31 mpg highway and 21 mpg city driving. Pretty good if you ask us.
