The large three-row crossover Infiniti QX60 has been around in its current form for almost five years, and therefore the planned refresh did not look unexpected. In addition, last fall, the forerunner of a new model under the name Monograph debuted.

The production version of the car turned out to be very close to the prototype in appearance, and the technology was inherited from the related Nissan Pathfinder . Styling and body measurements
Externally, the crossover has changed quite a lot, acquiring a more solid and restrained design. The developers associate the external trim elements with the traditional attributes of Japanese culture: the grille cells are designed to resemble origami in shape, the graphics of the lanterns resemble kimono folds. There are other references, but more important is the general philosophy that proclaims the movement towards harmony by rejecting catchy details and shapes. Although such a stylistic line did not prevent the use of a two-tone body color. Yes, yes, the QX60 now boasts a contrasting black roof, making it the first Infiniti with this option.
In addition to the design, the silhouette of the crossover has also changed. The wheelbase remained the same – 2900 mm, but the length was reduced by 61 mm (up to 5034 mm), and the height, on the contrary, increased by 28 mm (up to 1770 mm). The ground clearance increased by 5 mm – from 165 to 170 mm. The front and rear track was widened by 30 mm – up to 1699 mm. The drag coefficient of the versions without roof rails was 0.32, with rails – 0.33.
Interior, equipment and trunk
Due to the raised ceiling, the comfort of accommodating rear passengers has increased – there is more space not only above the head, but also in the legs. In the second row, depending on the configuration, either a sofa for three or a pair of separate armchairs with an impressive console in the middle is installed. The seats slide along the passenger compartment and tilt forward to provide access to the third row, which is designed for two riders
After the reorganization of the interior, the basic volume of the luggage compartment of the Infiniti QX60 was reduced from 450 to 411 liters, but in the most common five-seater layout the capacity was increased – 1178 compared to the previous 1138 liters. The maximum load compartment volume with the rear seats folded down was reduced from 2146 liters to 2135 liters. The floor now holds 54 liters and no longer 33, as before.
The front panel of the second generation Infiniti QX60 is completely new – with a more thoughtful and modern architecture. The multimedia display, in line with the trend of the times, is mounted on top of the console – the standard size is 12.3 inches. The InTouch system supports the integration of gadgets using the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay protocols, and in the second case you can connect wirelessly. The climate control panel located below is equipped with touch-sensitive buttons and comfortable rotary handles.
In the basic configuration, the crossover of the model year will receive an analog instrument panel, a panoramic roof with a sunroof and zero-gravity front seats with heating and electric adjustment. An optional 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, a 10.8-inch head-up display, three-zone climate control, a digital rear-view mirror, Bose Performance acoustics with 17 speakers are available. The list of electronic assistants for high-end versions includes ProPilot Assist, an advanced cruise control with a lane keeping function. The system is able to take into account the data from the navigation system, as well as independently stop the car and continue movement if the duration of the stop is less than 30 seconds.
According to the manufacturer, the paneling and soundproofing of the model’s interior have been improved. The upholstery of the Autograph version looks particularly classy – it uses quilted semi-aniline leather and wooden inlays.
Specifications
Technically, the new QX60 essentially repeats the last Pathfinder. For Infiniti, the same 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine with 299 hp was prepared. and 366 Nm. In Russia, the power of this unit is reduced to 283 hp. and 350 Nm. If earlier the engine worked in conjunction with a variator, now it is replaced by a 9-speed “automatic” from ZF with active bearings that reduce vibrations and an electronic control selector.
In America, the choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive is traditionally offered; in Germany, there will be no alternatives to the all-wheel drive chassis. The intelligent all-wheel drive has been revised, which means that the rear axle clutch reacts more quickly not only when the front wheels slip, but also in a number of other situations. Up to 50% of the torque can be transferred in reverse.
Thanks to the new automatic transmission, the towing capacity of the 4WD QX60 has improved by 20% – now they can tow trailers weighing up to 2,720 kg in a crash. To change the driving mode according to the road conditions, a switch with five presets is provided, including one customizable. Suspension configuration – MacPherson strut at the front and multi-link at the rear – is generally the same. But the brake discs have grown slightly.

The start of sales of the new generation of the Infiniti QX60 model took place quite recently, but it can already be purchased from an authorized dealer. So, according to the latest news, the price of the Infinity qx60 in Russia starts at 34 thousand euros. For this amount, you can buy a 3.5-liter version as standard. The more expensive hybrid model will cost you at least 40 thousand euros. However, due to a large number of options, the cost can reach 46 thousand euros.
