Exterior changes

In terms of design, the new Isuzu D-Max does not deviate from the current model. We can expect small cosmetic improvements, but nothing significant will change. Interior upgrades

The interior of the Isuzu D-Max will continue in fashion. This means that the manufacturer will continue to offer a very upright cabin with modern features and materials. The aim is to deliver an SUV-like design with some futuristic novelties. We would not be surprised to see additional upgrades inside. However, we believe that the cabin design will not change in .

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as everything in the cabin looks modern and new. This includes the displays, upholstery, and even safety aids. Speaking of which, D-Max will debut the latest driver assistance features. However, these features are optional on the base trim level.

Diesel engine available

This mid-size pickup truck will still use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Thanks to it, the Isuzu D-Max will generate 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. We don’t know what will happen to the manual transmission. If the manufacturer decides to remove it, an automatic transmission will be offered as standard. In addition, customers can choose between 2WD and 4WD systems.

Diesel is a must and the D-Max model offers a 3.0-liter engine with 170 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. Some other markets will get a smaller 1.9-liter diesel powertrain. The biggest mystery is still the hybrid version. Various reports still suggest the D-Max PHEV variant, but nothing is happening. Moreover, the manufacturer refuses to confirm or deny these claims. No doubt, a hybrid powertrain will boost sales like never before.
