Jaguar F-Type 2025: A New Look at the Legendary Sports Car.

It has finally been spotted and the Jaguar F-Type is in the works. The vehicle is wearing heavy camouflage and is doing its road tests at the Nurburgring and preparing for a release. What is much more interesting about this news is not only the spy photos that came with it but also the fact that they are preparing for the first presentation of the car in . Many speculations point to the Geneva Motor Show.

Jaguar F-Type

The British brand manufactured and released its F-Type model back in 2013. It was a popular and versatile choice. It came as a roadster but was then updated with a coupe and convertible versions. A manual transmission was slowly added as an all-wheel drive, followed by an increase in power. The versatility of the vehicle is also evident in the wide use of engines, which produce between 300 and 500 horsepower depending on the trim.

This review will help you with all the details, although rare, that have been revealed so far.

What is the price of the Jaguar F-Type?

The current price of the car will not change that much compared to the Jaguar F-Type. This means that the current base MSRP of $61,400 will not be exceeded. The same goes for the top-range SVR version, which is currently priced at €128,800 (Euro).

News about the outside of the car

There will be some changes for the Jaguar F-Type. The original F-Type is a standout and a staple race car, so we’d feel a bit bad if they decided to tamper with the design too much. Fortunately, the first spy photos seem to have kept the familiar styling of the F-Type and updated it just a bit. The front part of the car seems to have changed the most. It still has an oval grille, but a much smaller one and is also split into two parts. Every Jaguar has side air intakes and this one will likely update the shape for a new style. We also expect the headlights to change a bit and new LED patterns should be added.

Although the side of the car will be completely identical to the current model, it seems the same could be said for the back. More changes were expected to be added for the rear of the car, but it seems the best we can get are revised taillights and a new bumper that will reshape the car a bit.

Internal changes and additions

The interior of the Jaguar F-Type is a two-seat layout with a strong focus on the driver’s side. A sporty three-spoke steering wheel with well-padded racing seats for support. This is essentially what we can expect, but we can’t confirm or deny other additions due to the lack of spy photos of the interior. With small changes such as the dashboard design and probably less use of buttons and switches, we may get a very similar layout to before.

Infotainment is being tackled in a big way. We’re almost certain they’ll base this car on the latest XF or F-Pace models. This would likely mean a centrally mounted touchscreen and a different instrument cluster with a diagonal shape. The sound system is provided by Meridian, as expected.

Powertrain characteristics

As for the Jaguar F-Type’s engine, we expect a boost. The model will likely use the same two engine options as the previous model, but we expect them to be updated a bit. The current models use a V-6 engine that produces 340 hp for the base and Premium models, and a V-6 version that makes 380 hp on the S models and the all-wheel drive models. As for the V-8 engine, the one in the R model makes 550 hp, and the SVR models have a V-8 engine that makes 575 hp. Transmission options include either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic with paddles, while the RWD comes standard with AWD as an option. We don’t have the exact details on the improvements they’re adding, but it’s more than expected that they’ll make some and update the output a bit.

0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed

With the expected refresh, the Jaguar F-Type is likely to improve the acceleration rating. The current stats take around 5 seconds to reach 0-62 mph per hour and this will improve for a few tenths of a second. The SVR version will take 3.5 seconds to perform the same. The top speed could increase from the current 171 mph.

Fuel consumption specifications

Fuel economy hasn’t been mentioned so far, but the Jaguar F-Type isn’t likely to improve fuel economy for that model. The powertrain changes will be made, but it will only give the car more power and won’t really help it use less fuel. Current EPA ratings say the car gets 15 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, and those stats will likely stay that way.

Dimensions and size

With the stated refresh, the size and dimensions of the Jaguar F-Type will remain the same. From the styling of the car, it is clear that changes in dimensions will not be implemented this time. This leaves our car at 176.0 inches long and with a wheelbase of 103.2 inches. The height is 51.5 inches and the width is 75.7 inches. The curb weight could change, but there is currently no indication of how they might do this. The previous model weighed around 3750-4050 lb depending on the trim level.

Safety of the Jaguar F-Type

The safety equipment will surely be carried over to the Jaguar F-Type. We haven’t received any information about the updates yet, but it would be good if the car gets new equipment or at least updates the old ones. There should be more emphasis on passenger safety and this time it could be addressed and we will probably be able to see some pedestrian protection parts here as well.

Competing vehicles

Based on the body type and specifications of the Jaguar F-Type model, there are concentrated groups of vehicles that can be considered the closest competitors. The models in hand are the Porsche 718 Cayman , Chevrolet Corvette and Porsche 911 vehicles .
