Kia K900 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
There are some newly announced updates for the kia-k900. We are still far from a next-generation model and there will be certain additions to the cars that will keep it competitive. It’s not often that a car gets a new powertrain within a refresh, but they have decided to add a more powerful V-6 engine to the mix now with the version.
KiaK900
The Kia K900 model was first introduced at the LA Auto Show in 2013. The model is a rear-wheel drive model and uses the same platform as the Equus model. The engine was also originally borrowed from the same vehicle.
The Kia K900 is the next evolutionary step that the Japanese automaker is taking. The model really shows what Kia is actually capable of and manages to illustrate that it can easily keep up with the toughest opponents on the market. This is Kia’s latest flagship and we’ll be examining it a little more closely here in our review.
When will the Kia K900 go on sale?
With the updated Kia K900, we won’t have to wait too long to get it. The model will be offered for mid- and we also expect a similar release date in Europe. The car will be popular especially with the American audience and they expect greater progress in the respective market there.
What is the price of the Kia K900?
The price of the Kia K900 model will increase compared to the 2016 version. Based on the prices reported, we see a base MSRP of $49,000 for the Premium trim, while the Luxury with a V-6 engine comes at €54,900 (Euros) and the most expensive is the Luxury trim with a V-8 engine, which is offered for €61,900 (Euros).
Update the exterior
The K21 K900 has seen some changes to the car. The K900 has managed to retain most of its elements and maintain almost the same styling as its outgoing car. However, some changes have been made to freshen up the car a bit. This includes a revised grille that comes with dark chrome elements instead of the old grille. The vehicle will also see some revisions in the rear fascia part which will mainly add a new type of exhaust pipe design and also update the rear part with a chrome trim. The taillights have also been revised a bit and look refreshing compared to the last model. There are also new wheels that the car will ride on. The V6 version will get new 18-inch wheels while the V8 model will get 19-inch wheels.
Interior and additions
The latest Kia K900 will update the interior a bit, mostly continuing the theme it had with the current car. The exterior of the car combines sportiness and luxury, but the interior is all luxury, as is the version of the K900. The elements that the car updates are there to keep the same atmosphere, but in a newer way. Among the updates that the model plans to add inside is a 9.2-inch infotainment touchscreen for better use and control. The eight-speed automatic transmission will still be used, but this time paddle shifters will be added. UVO Luxury Services are now available and can be used to operate the climate control, start / stop function, and door locks by simply using your phone and the app required for control.
Powertrain innovations
The Kia K900 offers a new type of engine for the U.S. audience. Previously, people could only buy one model that came with a 5.0-liter Tau GDI V-8 engine and produced 420 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. But with the K900, they will update it with a different engine. From this version, you will get a 3.8-liter V6 engine under the hood, which will boost the power to 311 horses and 293 pound-feet of twists. Both will use the same 8-speed automatic transmission as before.
0-62 mph per hour and maximum speed
The acceleration time and top speed remain the same for the Kia K900 model. The model maintains the time of 7.5 seconds required to accelerate to 0-62 mph per hour, while the top speed is limited to 155 mph.
Latest fuel consumption figures for the Kia K900
With the introduction of the new engine to the Kia K900 and its American buyers, there are also some updates regarding the car’s fuel economy. It hasn’t improved much in general, but it’s still balanced and favorable for the segment. Measured fuel ratings are 17 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined for the V6 Premium version. The V6 Luxury One is rated at 17 mpg, 26 mpg, and 20 mpg, while the V8 Luxury is rated at 15 mpg, 23 mpg, and 18 mpg.
Dimensions and internal clearance
The new vehicle, the Kia K900, will not change the dimensions for this refresh. It will keep the same shape and offer the same numbers when it comes to the size of the car. The overall size of the car is 200.6 inches while the wheelbase is at 119.9 inches. The width is measured at 74.8 inches while the height is 58.7 inches. The interior volume offers enough space for the passengers to feel welcome and it offers a passenger volume of 110.8 cu. ft. while the overall volume is measured at 126.7 cu. ft. The cargo space will allow you 15.9 cu. ft. of space to pack your necessary luggage.
Security
Safety on the Kia K900 is treated with the same additions that were made with the previous model. It helps to have such a well-established base offering that significantly improves the car’s safety. Some of the equipment we get includes adaptive cruise control, a forward collision warning system, automatic emergency braking, as well as eight airbags as standard. Unfortunately, the K900 hasn’t been tested yet, but the IIHS as an expensive, low-volume car doesn’t usually test, so we may not be able to see the exact numbers when testing this car.
The competitor
Both the original and the latest Kia K900 were made with the aim of competing against BMW products in the segment. So it is not at all unusual if we say that the cabinets’ competitors are the BMW 7 Series Modus, while the Hyundai Equus also appears in the segment, mainly because the car is built on the same platform as the K900.
