Kia Niro EVs 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
Thanks to intriguing lighting elements and two-tone body panels, the redesigned Kia Niro EVs will stand out more on the road than their predecessor. The all-electric subcompact SUV also features a sleeker interior with distinctive styling and digitized instruments. Kia is also touting the extensive use of recycled materials inside.
SUV Kia Niro EVs
While the outgoing Niro EV featured a 201-horsepower electric motor feeding the front wheels, its replacement’s power source is still a mystery. Likewise, battery size and range are still under wraps for now, but we expect the Niro EV to be able to travel farther than the 239 miles the EPA estimated for its predecessor on a single charge.
Design
Up front, the Niro’s upper grille is sleeker, more angular and noticeably wider, covering the entire width of the SUV. The vertical headlights and their distinctive heartbeat LED daytime running lights give the SUV a confident look and aggressive styling. The lower grille is higher and larger, adding to its assertiveness.
On the sides, the Kia Niro EVs have new angular mirrors and a contrasting C-pillar, a feature that immediately reminds us of the HabaNiro concept. This feature would make the all-new Niro instantly recognizable, and it’s not just an aesthetic feature. It improves airflow and improves the vehicle’s aerodynamics. However, we would like to point out that the Hyundai Bayon, which is also not available in Europe, features the same style of lights.
The windshield is extremely raked, at a steeper angle compared to the first-generation Niro. Another noticeable change is the relocation of the license plate area from the bumper to the tailgate. While the first-generation model has rounded elements for soft styling, the second-generation model has sharp lines for edgy and aggressive styling, and this also applies to the rear windows and side windows.
Interior
Kia has made great strides in interior design over the past decade, and the Kia Niro EV is the latest example of this achievement.
The Niro’s cabin uses diet to create space for passengers and be aesthetically pleasing. The sleek dashboard with stylish off-center curves, the slim dashboard with the fully digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, the classy center console, the electronic gear selector and the luxurious two-spoke steering wheel from the EV6 add more prestige to the Niro. SUV.
The armrests of the flip-up door for the front passengers are well coordinated with the new curved dashboard design. Small switches and other controls complete the new minimalist interior. In the Niro, Kia used several sustainable materials such as recycled wallpaper (for the headliner), bio-PU with eucalyptus leaf Tencel (for the seats) and BTX-free paints (for the door panels).
Price Kia Niro EVs
Kia has not announced pricing or specific trim levels for the Niro EV. If the previous generation is any indication, it will be offered in either EX or EX Premium trim. These two models had a price range that started between €36,000 and €40,000, respectively.
