Kia Optima 2025: Price, consumption, picture, technical data.
The new Kia Optima combines a strong value proposition and sporty design that is hard to beat in the midsize sedan segment. Premium features include an excellent blend of performance and fuel efficiency with a 1.6-liter turbo engine, plenty of luxury and comfort for the money, and a quiet cabin. The release date should be expected in the second half of the year.
Kia Optima
It’s no problem that the midsize sedan segment is full of vehicles from well-known brands such as the Accord, Camry and Fusion. And although the Kia Optima has been sold in Europe for the past fifteen years, it only recently became a serious competitor in this segment.
Now the Optima has set the bar high and helped the brand move upward in the competitor paradigm. One notable thing that hasn’t evolved for the Optima is the exterior design. It still has slightly wider, longer and taller dimensions than its predecessor. But don’t get me wrong, the vehicle is still a head turner.
However, much can be said under its skin. The chassis makes extensive use of high-strength steel during its construction. According to Kia, this has resulted in better handling, structural rigidity and stability even at top speeds. Also a first for the Optima is a 1.6-liter turbo engine, which now promises better fuel economy and performance.
In terms of interior space, regardless of the lowest price, the Optima still offers a fairly cozy and more upscale cabin than some of its competitors. For example, the base LX trim offers fancier configurations and a nice selection of convenience features. Some of them include automatic emergency braking, quilted leather upholstery, a 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control.
For those who want to look around first to see what the segment offers, these are some of the alternatives you’re most likely to come across: the Mazda 6, the Toyota Camry, the Honda Accord, and the Hyundai Sonata.
Price & Kia Optima Release Date
We should expect to see the new Kia Optima sometime in the second half of this year if the online rumors have anything to say. For the price, expect the sedan to cost you an MSRP starting at €21,840 (Euros).
