Despite the lack of sufficient information, we know exactly how Land Rover became the most famous AWD SUV in the world. It is rugged, endless and capable, among other things. The only thing that comes close to the Defender is the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Introduced in 1948, the Land Rover Defender was produced consistently until Q4 , when production will finally cease. Engine specifications

Under the hood of the new Land Rover Defender, there is a wide range of engines to choose from. We expect Land Rover to also provide several 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engines and 3.0-liter V6 engines. The new Land Rover Discovery Sport features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that can produce an impressive 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. Also, the 2015 Land Rover LR-4 has an intoxicating 3.0-liter supercharged engine that can produce 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.

The Land Rover Defender will come with a host of standard safety features that will enable it to tackle off-road terrain with ease.

Safety features include power child safety locks, auto-locking and crash unlock system, driver and passenger airbags (front seat, side, thorax, pelvis), heavy braking hazard warning lights and a tire pressure monitoring system. Other safety features include front and rear recovery hooks, Trailer Stability Control, Terrain Response® and Rollover Stability Control and Hill Descent Control (HDC®). Advanced safety features include Emergency Brake Assist.
